Powell Entryway Hall Tree

Perfect in my entryway. Love the color, height. Only shortcoming is the lid doesnt open quite all the way, but its fine.

The Merlot Wood Entry Storage Bench is absolutely beautiful, everything we expected and more. Don't lose patience with the directions..take it slow, it's worth it!

I was missing a lot of parts for this! I have used the "request for replacement parts" form that must be sent to Powell (not to Accent Furniture), and I can't get a reply from them after 2 weeks. This isn't Accent Furniture's fault, it is Powell's fault, but if others are going to get bad customer service from Powell if they have a problem, you don't want to buy this. Otherwise, I guess this is an OK Hall Bench, but as I can't assemble it, I can't tell!

I have this in my entry way and everyone loves it! It is sturdy enough to load up coats and I use the bench cubby to hide my purse, etc. You MUST read the instructions and follow them or you will be taking it apart a few times! The hinges for the bench seat had one set of holes pre-drilled to get you started then you have to figure out where the other set of holes go. I ended up with a couple of extra holes but you cannot see them and they don't compromise the function.

I purchased this piece as part of a birthday gift for my son's new 1700's house. My daughter and I did a "While You Were Out" complete redu of his entranceway, and the Hall tree is the centerpiece. The room looks beautiful, very inviting, and the hall tree is so useful. It matches the house perfectly. I did a lot of research when looking for a hall tree, and when I saw this one, that was it. Everyone loves it. It arrived on time, triple boxed and in great shape except for a couple very small places where the finish was rubbed off, but I was able to fix them with a stain pen. My daughter put it together, and I helped when needed. It took about an hour. Thanks again.
