Pro's: Light weight, tool pallet compatible, durable. Con's: Aluminum hinge, locks not "TSA compatible". I've been a Machine-tool Field Engineer for 25 years, traveling the Continental US & Mexico. This is my "go-to" tool case, especially for air travel. I've tried them all, and keep on coming back to this case (this one is # 5). It will easily handle more than 50 Lbs of tools & equipment! You can expect this toolbox to survive at least 400 flights... I get at least 3 years use out of one, working full time including a HEAVY flight schedule. I prefer a basic case like this, combined with a folding luggage cart. With this setup I can handle the tool case (45-50 Lb), a duffel with clothes, extra tools & manuals (40 Lb), and my computer/document bag (15 Lb). I've had multiple handle and wheel failures on cases that incorporate them... they just can't seem to handle that 100 Lb load. My only real complaints: 1) the aluminum hinge will "stretch" when debris becomes lodged in the groove around the frame edge... (small loose screws & electrical connectors, etc) 2) the locks on the latches remain "old-school" key type. I'd prefer a "TSA" lock, but I continue to live with this box, as the alternatives that incorporate TSA locks or hasps are not as durable or a lot more expensive. The bag I ordered was here in less than a week. It is incredibly well built. I really enjoy having this professional tool bag to carry all of my tools easily and not have a bucket tool boss or tacky tool box to lug around. They make every kind of tool tray also, so making this bag fit for you, is a matter of picking the right trays and building a custom system for you.
