Nice (spacing of fixed middle shelf is a provlem)

This is a very nice and attractive piece of furniture. It is designed and built with a slight backward lean which helps to make it secure and stable, and also allows the doors to close and stay closed by gravity. With the bottom of the unit up against the baseboard, the top of the unit comes nicely up against the wall. The only complaint and problem I see with this unit is that the placement of the middle shelf is fixedsuch that if you are storing DVDs or Blu-ray discs or VHS tapes that you get to full shelves above the fix shelf and two full shells below it and then you have a half of shelf space above and half of shelf space below affecting how many pieces of media you can store upright. We are storing media sideways in the half space above and the have space below. If they moved the location of the fixed shelf it seems like you could get another full shelf of a uprright storage
Decent product at a good price

I agree with many of the other reviews. The pros are: it looks good, is sturdy and holds a lot of DVDs. The cons are: made in China, particleboard body with wood veneer (although it is sturdy), the top and bottom shelf require DVDs to lie flat, and you have to be careful in assembling with the cams. If you over tighten them, they can break out of the particleboard. But if you are careful in assembly, the cabinet does end up looking great and it does hold a lot of DVDs. All in all, I thought it was a good value.

the overall height and width of the cabinet is pictured to look a little bigger than it actually is. in fact it is quite smaller than i thought it would be. but i guess if i had measured out the dimensions then i would not have surprised. however the shelves are really what bother me. in the picture it looks like all the shelves would be the same size. well there not. and as a media cabinet you would expect for a standard size dvd case to fit on every shelf. wrong. the pictures are deceiving. wonder why all the dvds on the first and second shelf are all leaning over cuz the shelf is too short for them to stand up straight! in face every shelf is a different height completely. dvd case only actually fit on shelves 3 and 4. blue-rays (being shorter than dvds) fit on shelf 2. and shelf 1 and 5 are completely worthless, they are so short than not even a cd case will stand up of them. so it makes it a puzzle to get all your media in the cabinet. and you basically waste space because you are forced to put things sideways when they cant stand. and i still havent found anything to put on the top shelf. i mean why cant all the shelves be the same height. really is that too much to ask apparently so. this cabinet is not worth the money or aggravation. i will be continuing to to shop for alternatives.
good price, looks great

this arrived eariler than expected and was easily put together. Note - it leans back on purpose, this is to prevent the cabinet from falling forward andor your items falling off the shelf. It's not noticeable from the front and only slightly noticeable from the side.

Nice looking product. However, cabinet leans back noticeably when placed on the floor. Turns out this is a design feature to help prevent tipping of the cabinet. Does not stand well on carpeted areas, stands better on hard surfaces such as hard wood.

Bought the cabinet to use as a mini bar. There are a few things to note, it leans backnow and does not sit level, and the two fixed shelves are very close to the top and bottom. Found that if I were using it for cd's I would have to put them in on an angle. Those shelves are useless for dvd's unless you lay them down. It must be secured to the wall because of its lean or it will fall over. It is however sturdy other wise and it looks fabulous when put together.
Elegant Look, Nice Value!

We purchased this cabinet in the cherry finish for our Asian-inspired exercise room. Its style and finish are very nice quality for this price range. The assembly starts with inserting permanent shelves using cams, so placing it on a table and having four hands expedited the process. The cabinet now sits in front of a Japanese screen, and holds over 100 DVDs and videos with room to spare. We highly recommend this piece for media storage in tight spaces.

Shopping, purchasing and delivery were excellent. I was a bit disappointed in the color - darker than I expected or wanted, but not to the point I'd return it. Also disappointed to find made in China. Oh well, almost impossible to find made in USA these days, but I prefer clear indication on origin up front and obvious. The doors are quite nice particle board body fair. Assembly was obnoxious, but straight forward. There are 3 fixed shelves and the resulting bottom and top shelf areas are just slightly too small for upright CD storage, which is unfortunate. The company should consider modifying that. Overall, it is a fine value for the price. Recommended...

Overall this media cabinet looks fantastic. It was a little tricky to put together...you definitely need two people for assembly. Also when it's filled with DVDs it appears a bit unstable and both doors on the front don't close completely properly. Overall, it was a good buy for the price

Received it fairly quickly, no damaged parts. Fairly straight forward, but time consuming to put together. Watch how much you tighten the cams.. It's not wood per say, but that's almost a good thing, because if it was solid wood, it would be pretty heavy (It's pretty sturdy as is). As per other reviews, the very top and bottom shelves are not adjustable and you can't fit DVDs, CD's, or blu-rays in them vertically, but it is great shelf space for nick-knacks or other awkward items. The finished piece is beautiful. It has a nice reddish cherry finish. I would highly recommend it!
