I knew the minute I saw a picture of this toy on line that it was a must have for my four year old twins and I was not wrong. I ordered it close to Christmas and it was Ffed-exed out to me free of charge within two days. It was heavy in the box and I had to open the box in my cellar and lug individual pieces upstairs in three different steps. It is because this is a high quality solid wood toy. The furniture and fire truck and ambulance are wooden too. I cant stress enough what high quality it all is. I followed the directions and put it together myself over two nights after the kids were in bed. The directions are easy to follow. All I needed was a screw driver. On Christmas morning, my sons eyes lit up when he saw this fire house. He was drawn to it before anything else and started to play immediately with it an had to be redirected finally to open the other presents. My twins play with it daily. It is something we will keep for a long time and my kids will proudly pass down to their children one day. I hope to order my children the Kidkraft construction set for their birthday.
