We got this for our 6 yr. old grandson last year (different theme but same manufacturer/model). He plays with it on the bed and on the floor. I think he feels like he has privacy and his own space. He plays in it imaginitively. Our 3 year old granddaughter loves it just as much, so of course we had to purchase this one for her for Christmas. It is easy to assemble. Durable.
