Conceived with the urban gardener in mind, these planters are suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. Built by hand in in Brooklyn, NY by Planterworx, an industry leader in outdoor metalwork known for their outstanding designs and meticulous craftsmanship. All Planterworx planters are composed of recycled metals and have been designed to endure the test of time, both in stature and style. All planters are available in powder coated aluminum (white, pewter, silver) or corten steel. Drainage holes are provided on all planters, custum colors are available. Powder Coating is an advanced method of applying a dry decorative and protective finish. The electrostatic charged powder is a mixture of pigments and resin positively charged and sprayed onto a grounded planter. The charged powder adheres to the grounded planter and is melted and fused into a solid coating in a curing oven. This results in a unique high quality durable finish. With Corten Steel,the patina or rust acts as a protective barrier, neither penetrating nor compromising the structural integrity of the material. Corten Steel has a reactive patina period from 3 to 9 months depending on location and climate. Corten steel produces carbon run off or staining to adjacent materials like stone and concrete. After the initial reactive period Corten steel will cure and self seal with very little to no carbon runoff.
