The pots have a lip that extends about 6 inches down into the pot. The lip is hollow, so that if you turned the pot upside down, a bunch of pot contents could get stuck in there. I envisioned this being a mess and a nuisance, so I inserted a piece of foam (air conditioner sealer) under the edge of the lip. I am not sure these are a great value - it's a lot of $$$ to spend on a plastic pot. But they look nice, and they don't weigh a ton when they are planted, so my pots are (mostly) movable."..."
