P'kolino Toddler Bed - TB O

The bed is great in a lot of ways - easy to assemble, the right size, bright and colorful. The big downside is the remarkable off-gasing. We had to have the bed in another room for two weeks before we stopped smelling it every time we walk by. It gave my husband, who is not particularly sensitive to such things, a crazy headache. Eventually it leveled out and we feel comfortable putting our son in there - but I wouldn't sleep in it right away.

Very pleased with the look of the bed and the size of the side-panels (which discourage our son from trying to get out of the bed). However, disappointed as the bed appears to have been 'touched up' in some areas - there is patchy orange paint visible on one of the side panels. In addition, anytime the bed is moved (i.e. to change the bedding, etc.), it feels as though the bed twists/contorts more than it should.

I ordered this and just got it. Right now we are using it as a chair. My son is 18 months and I'm expecting a baby in July, so when the baby comes we will use it as a bed. I love the versatility and even after both babies outgrow the bed we can utilize it as a chair. The chair is pretty large and very sturdy. My husband even sits in it!It wasn't hard to put together at all although I do wish it came with instructions to build just as a chair. The current instructions show how to make the bed and then convert to chair but we weren't trying to make it a bed first. With a little critical thinking I figured out what steps to delete. Overall very practical!

This bed is stylish and a great size for a 2-4 year old child. Definitely not a good size for any older age. My daughter uses the "bed" as a chair since it is convertible and she now has a regular twin bed.

very cute bed and perfect for our toddler. It can turn into a chair so some of the holes are apparent when it is a bed which is a bit unsightly. But sturdy and modern looking.

I love the design and colors; I searched high and low and this was the only one close to what I wanted. My son(s) love the compactness of it and how it perfectly fits their size. However, with the sleek design comes sharp edges on the footboard, headboard and side rails. I have two boys who are always jumping and running around. I'm afraid it's just a matter of time before one of them smacks their head against the sharp edges. Unfortunately, this is a major drawback and I don't know if I could confidently recommend this product.

[...] However, as I always do before assembly, I checked the parts list against the parts in the box and sure enough, I had been shorted some parts. I called and the lady at P'kolino told me that the parts would be to my house in two days. [...] Happy to finally have the parts, I started the assembly only to find the instructions fairly hard to follow and that a couple of the bolt housings were stripped. The bed held together well-enough that I kept it but I am not really pleased with the quality.

My 2 1/2 year old loves the bed and it's very sturdy.

Delivery took FOREVER. First they said product was backordered. Then when it finally came in they delivered it to the wrong address. (UPS mistake). Then when All Childrens agreed to resend another bed it took another 3 weeks. Overall took me more than 2 months to receive this product.

I got this product from my mother in law as a gift recently and we love it! I read the previous review and called the manufacturer to learn more about the product. They told me that the headboard and foot-board have been redesigned to make them sturdy. I told my mother in law that this was the product we wanted and we are very happy with it - the new version is very sturdy. We ordered the orange version because it works well for my boy and my daughter (she will use it in a few years). It was fairly easy to assemble and it looks great on my littleone's room.
