The rattan used for the construction of this basket is thin, and I foresee it breaking and cracking after a few years of use. I saw an earlier version of this product that was made of much higher quality and sturdier rattan, so I am not sure why they changed the design. Overall, I chose this particular basket for the wine and cheese accessories- corkscrew, wine tote, cheese board and cheese knife, etc. Additionally, being a fan of organization, I liked the pockets for the accessories. However, the utensil pockets are EXTREMELY tight and makes getting them out and putting them in treacherous. You must yank them out and stuff them in. The blanket is nice, but is made of wool. I am not sure why they chose that fabric. It is also a bit small. I have received compliments on the look of the basket and I like to do everything in style, so this suited my needs and wants for a newer picnic basket to replace my older, broken one."..."  Read more

It seemed like it might be a little small for me, but I am going to be sending one of these bags to my sis and her family for Christmas. They have 3 kids so they would only need to fit 5 lunch containers in the cooler part. What I liked about this bag is that the insulated part is on the bottom and it has a nice open mesh part for the top. I liked that it seemed smaller and more compact than our big backpack so I thought maybe it would be more manageable for the big kids to carry. When the bag arrived I was pleasantly surprised! This was a sturdy bag.It was very comfortable to wear, even for my 10 yo. The insulated part on the bottom is heavy duty, not some thin foil plastic you see in some soft sided coolers. The bottom section held exactly 5 divided Ziploc lunch containers (I could squeeze 6 if I really stretched it or put one in sideways but you really don't want to do that). It also has extra room enough on the side for two regular plastic water bottles. I had to check out how big that top mesh part was. I was able to fit 5 lightweight fleece jackets in that top section! FIVE! Or you could easily fit a diaper wallet and a picnic blanket in the top section, or even towels and sunscreen. It has two pockets. The one on the front is big enough for a wallet, keys, cell phone, hand sanitizer, lip balm, point and shoot camera, etc. Then there is another little pocket on the top flap that goes over the mesh section. This is a thinner pocket but could easily hold some money, credit cards, zoo passes, or even a small pocket field guide. One thing it doesn't have is an easily accessible water bottle carrier. That would be nice to have built in, there are a few places where you could easily attach one with a carabiner type ring. Other than that, it looks like it would be a great day bag for ANY type of outing where you would want to take a lunch along. I was given a gift certificate to review this product, and I purchased another one on my own for another gift, I liked it so much."..."  Read more

I finally found the basket to meet my needs. The basket is attractive enough to display when not in use. The plates, cups, and utensils are of good quality and will last a long time. The interior of the basket is lined with a checkered fabric, which is why I recommend using plastic bags for dirty dishes and leftover food."..."  Read more

Prettiest picnic basket I've ever seen. Interior items and fasteners were first-class. I gave this as a wedding present and filled it with food for the wedding night. The basket holds more than enough food for a gourmet lunch. The linens were not the color in the picture and the wine bags were cheap plastic like you would use for camping. They should have been made from felt or flannel with drawstrings."..."  Read more
