not recommended I have a six month old Australian Shepherd so I bought the large dog door. It lets the cold air in and it's cheaply made. The screws come out and we've had to re-install it frequently. An active dog going in and out with some speed can destroy this door in no time. Sick and tired of endlessly refitting it, my husband had to made a new one himself from quality materials. |

Well made and seems to work well Installation was as easy as could be expected and the materials it is made of are likely to last a long time. I am pleased overall with this product. |

Wall Entry Dog Door Used for my 7 1/2 lb Pomeranian. I had to order the medium because my dog would not fit through the small door even though it says up to 12 lbs. He learned to use it fairly quickly although I have to keep one flap up. The problem I noticed with it is that there is a nickle sized opening at all four corners on the inside and outside of the door so there is always openings that let the air in and out. I need to find a way to seal them. It says all aluminum but the inside area that the dog steps on is plastic so I don't know how long it will hold up. This should be disclosed on the product information. I had to hire a contractor to install it which cost an extra $150.00 because you need to cut through drywall, insulation and stucco and need to know where there are wires and boards, so take that into consideration when purchasing. |

Wall Entry Doggie Door--Great Product We ordered a wall entry dog door and it was what the product stated it would be like. The only thing I would change would be the plastic tunnel that connects the two doors it needs to be made stronger. We reinforced ours with a wood frame underneath. Overall, a good product-very pleased. |

Everything went great Product Review Once we finally got around to installing this door, it was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. To be perfectly honest, the directions that came with were more complicated than they should have been. All we did is measure the dimensions of the tunnel, outline it on the wall, drilled holes in all 4 corners that went through to the outside, then made our cut, put it together, and screwed it in. Things I recommend doing if you have vinyl siding outside and sheetrock inside are caulking the door to both the inside and the outside to hold it in place better, especially if you have big dogs. If you happen to cut really close to a stud like we did, you may need to buy some heftier screws. The ones that come with the kit will not work. Service Review We got put on back-order after we bought this online, which is fine, but we didn't get an email letting us know about it until about a week after checkout, right when I was expecting it to be shipped. After that we were updated regularly as to when it was back in stock and when it was to be shipped. |

Exactly what I wanted The video really helped. It is quite a project undertaking and scary to cut a large hole in the wall. We have an old house that has been through many remodels, so you never know what you will find when you start cutting, extra boards, old siding.....Our outside is uneven shake vinyl siding, so we are still stumped on how to seal it well, but it works great, looks great, and has made our life easier, the cats are still confused with the double flap system, but it does not allow the cold in as easy as the one flap sliding glass door panel and now we have full access to our sliding glass door. The installation went pretty much exactly by the video, look hard for the markings side "A" & "B". It does take time. But if my husband and I can do it so can you! |
