Pet Gear Travel Lite Steel Dog Crate - TL59BK

I love this crate in many ways but I think the main door is a hazard. The cratet is stong and sturdy enough to hold my 44 pound shepherd pup and has plenty of room for him to grow. It folds easily and the built in wheels and handle make travel with it easy. The transaction was perfect. Only reason this is not a five star is the design of the crate: top door is great but 'garage door' is noisy and in my opinion, dangerous in a car or SUV because the door opens from the bottom -making it a real risk that your pup could slip out while you are still opening the door. I put my pup's leash on -first- through the top door when inside, and hand thread. It through that opening so I have a safe grip on his leash before he can go anywhere. I havent used it in my SUV yeet for this exact reason. As long as you remain aware of that, it is a great and easily foldible travel crate. Would be perfect if the manufacturer would reconfigure the doors more traditionally. Please be safe with your furry loved one and if you feel you can compensate for the garage door risk, I recommend this: if that sounds like trouble, please dont use this or rely on my review. I never want anyone's furry loved one put at risk, especially because of my advice.

It is a nice kennel, although the problem I have is that the door locking means is poor. One of the plastic clips that locks the door in place broke from normal use.

My dog and I am extremely pleased with ths crate. Great qualitity. Easy to fold up and down. Easy to move around on the wheels. Locking mechanism good quality and safe to keep dog in but easy to unlock. Love having both side and top access. Highly recommend this product.

Love the two door system with the side one lifting up like a garage door. This will be great for traveling with our dog. It was easy to assemble and will be convenient to store when not needed.

My two mini-pins share this kennel and they love the extra space to sprawl out. I love the durable plastic floor. I wasn't keen on the ones that were tin/metal. The side door access works great!! They have enough room to run out at the same time rather than one getting ahead start in the smaller kennel we had. They seem to enjoy it.

This is a great crate, maybe a bit heavy, but because it is constructed well it should have the extra weight. My English Bulldogs don't feel confined, and love the large door opening. Took them awhile to get used to the door moving and noise above them when closing the door. The wheels make moving and cleaning around it good without scratching my floor. Love the fact it folds up so compact and is easy to take while travelling.

Very happy with it. No, it's not as easy to tote around as a soft crate, but a soft crate would never safely contain my dog (Smooth Collie pup) so it's not an option for me. For a wire crate this is pretty lightweight, the wheels help move it, the plastic tray attached as opposed to having to carry the tray separately and slide it in is wonderful construction. Love the "garage door" option. Had to bring my dog to work with me for the first time today due to construction in my house and he is right beside my desk in the crate as I write this! I am very pleased with it.
