I purchased this car seat for my westie so she would be safer riding in the car. The seatbelt does a good job of holding the seat in place. The straps were a bit long and I followed someone elses advice of wrapping them around the shoulder part of the seatbelt and worked perfectly. I ordered the larger seat, thought it would be a bit bigger then it was, but my dog still had enough room to lay down. The color was exactly as viewed on line.
