I have a fairly large (16 lb) cat and with a hard-side carrier, it's so heavy to carry! This carrier is SO much lighter, even if I don't wheel it. Yes, his head touches the top of the carrier if he's sitting up, but he likes to curl up and sleep in this carrier as I have it open and available for him, so the closeness doesn't appear to bother him. I don't think that keeping him in there for a long trip would be very comfortable but for short trips, it's fine. Cats generally seem to like small enclosed spaces, still, it would be nice if it were slightly taller.
My dog loves it!

My dog absolutely loves this carrier...so do I. She is using it also as a dog house, so I just keep it under a coffee table and is perfect.
Great Dog Carrier for 2 Little Ones
Victoria Alston from Nashville, TN– Verified Buyer
I got this carrier to carrier my two little munchkins. I have a 5 lb yorkie and 8 lb poodle. They fit just fine. So far Ive only carried it on my back as a backpack, and they seem to be alright with it. I love that this carrier comes with two leash holders inside, that way, if I wanted to unzip the top, they still wouldnt be able to get out. I used it in public for 30 minutes and my little yapper (the poodle) was quiet as a mouse! I would definitely reccommend this purchase. I typically fly Southwest, and to me, it seems a bit too big to fly, I hope not though, Im going to give it a go next trip. Great investment if you like to be out and dont want to leave your little loves at home! I suggest getting a little pillow for the bottom though, I find it to be very hard. They seemed fine with it, I just like them to lay on plush things -)
IGO2 Traveler Pet Carrier is Great!
Nancy from Plainfield, NJ– Verified Buyer
I had to leave my residence during hurricane Sandy and didn't have adequate carriers for my 4 Persians, which made it difficult to manage. I found the IGO2 Traveler Carriers and checked the pricing at local pet chain stores as well as at other on line sources, and Wayfair had the best pricing. This carrier is extremely well made and sturdy, and doesn't tip over in the front like others do. Removable washable floor mat, carrying strap, backpack straps, and telescopic rolling capabilities are great. Best of all, my huge 17 lb, tall Persian can sit up straight, stand, or lay down in this roomy Traveler model. I liked it so much I bought three others (smaller models) for my other cats. Now I can easily maneuver them all quickly and easily into the car (they also have wheel covers so they don't damage car seats). Will last a lifetime and it was a good investment for my pets.
Great carrier - great price!

Love the size, color, durability, options (to carry or roll). 3 problems - 2 minor, 1 major The first minor is that the padding cover for the inside bottom is pretty worthless - I put 2 tiny chihuahuas in together and they basically make a mess of the bottom, it does not stay down very well. I am going to try to make a pad to go on the bottom that is a bit thicker and fastens across the bottom better. The second minor issue is the zipper on the top/front - if the dogs don't want to go in it can get kind of tricky...lol I'm pushing their little heads in and trying to fasten the zipper without choking them. Often takes two of us to do this. The major con is the wheels in the back when using as a backpack. There is no way to keep them from digging into my hips. So I purchased an ergonomic pad for a chair that has an elastic band which I fasten around my waist before putting the carrier on my back. It keeps the wheels from digging into my hips. Works great then. All in all, I do love the product, [...]
Almost perfect for a cat!
Sooz from Florida
This is a wonderful carrier for short car trips, but not for airline travel. It is quite sturdy for being soft sided. I love the fact that I can easily roll it. My cats took to it immediately! The dimensions are deceiving. My smallest cat (13 lbs.) can just fit into this. But we like it so much, that I ordered the plus size for one of my larger (17 lb.) cats. For car travel, it has a back slot where you can slip a seatbelt through, as well as secure the strap around the headrest. The only thing I don't like is the tethers. They are not removable so I will cut them off. Indoor cats are not supposed to wear collars, and the tethers are too appealing for them to play with. I am very afraid their heads would get caught in them. I took off one star for that reason only. I also am pleased with this companies fast shipping!
IGO Pet Carrier Traveler
Nan Kramur from New Jersey
I loved the IGO carrier plus so much, I bought 3 more of the smaller versions, the Traveler. Now each of my Persians have their own carriers and I know they will last for years. The carriers are well made, very sturdy (no tipping) and they have a washable floor pad, lots of side pockets, and they can roll, be carried on your shoulder or as a backpack. Very easy to maneuver and get into the car. I didn't have adequate carriers when Sandy hit, and we had to leave our house. Now I'm ready, and the cats seem to like the carriers as well. Excellent buy. I had comparison shopped with chain pet stores and other on line places selling the same carriers, and WAYFAIR HAS THE BEST PRICE!
Versatile & Functional

Love this product for multiple ways it can be used. Also so light and unobtrusive. One concern is the durability of the zipper. One time my kitty was able to force nudge open at the zipper seam when I put the bag down for a few minutes. Not get it to unzip, but unravel - literally force open. It is worrisome that if she really wants to get out she can, and that I can lose her... Otherwise no complaint.
Good training tool, great value
Dances With Cats from Maine
One of my three cats HATES standard hard-sided carriers and completely freaks out whenever I have to get her into one. No matter what kind of training or acclimation tools I tried (leaving the plastic carrier around with the top off and comfortable bedding inside, spraying with "happy cat" pheromones, etc.), she wouldn't go near it. Although it took a while with the I-GO2, I have caught this cat napping inside and looking very comfortable. I'm looking forward to seeing how she feels when the screen is zipped up.
First Class NO NO
Eric Francis from Columbus, OH– Verified Buyer
This carrier is awesome except for one thing. If you fly first class, you cannot fit this under the seat on US Airways, but you CAN actually fit it fine under the seats in coach. I didn't know that and thank God they were able to put these under two empty seats in coach, so my babies could still fly with me. I got pink for my girl cat and this green for my boy cat. They are very large cats and they fit in their respective carrier with room to sit, stand and lay down. I turned is sideways to get under the seat in coach and they were still find to lay down and sleep with room to spare. The rolling feature made it totally easy to get them through the airport too!
