I think these stairs are great! I use them in my dog washing business and they are light enough to switch quickly between 2 tubs but they stay in place as dogs walk up them (they don't slip). I really like that the carpet on the steps comes off for washing and drying!

My 15 year old terrier is learning to use these to get on the bed. She had some problems at first because she put her back foot on the edge of the step sheer its smooth and her foot slipped off. I ended up had to cover the steps with a roll of the grippy shelf liner so the edges are no longer slippery. They are easy to assemble and certainly sturdy enough for my small dogs.

Our frenchies love it.

The pet stairs were just what we were looking for for our aged cat. It is easy for her to climb the stairs and get right on our bed. It is wonderful that she is free to get on the bed whenever she wants.

Our miniature dacshund says thank you. At first she was leery of the steps but after putting treats on the steps she made it up to our bed. Now she climbs up with no problem but is a little leery about going down. Assembly was very simple even for me!

I use these for a use other than what they suggest because the specs said it would support up to 150s..though the box is checked for use with small to average dogs and not big ones (I picture a 150 dog as a big one..) I am a 100ish pound owner of 4 cats and needed light weight steps for my medium height loft bed. I agree that the top step is too high for weight stability due to the narrow width. However with my limited space I needed a narrow step up. I placed one long side up against a vertical support (desk). This has aided the security of using the top step edge closest to the 2nd step. (I find that stepping on the far edge of the 3rd step tended to tip it length wise as that end of mine is not supported.) When I step on the lower 2 steps I do feel some give under my weight but found a clever way to add support. I feel that a potential purchasers satisfaction with this unit would depend on their animals weight and whether they are quiter or energetic moving. I am happy with the price I purchased these for as well as the color and shape of the unit. For my use and with the aids I found to support the unit, I am happy ) Recommending these to a friend would depend on their animals weight and habits.

I found that in shipping the peices without being individually wrapped in plastic tended to show some rub marks. Luckily for me where I have them placed the lighting does not high light these marks.

Fantastic stairs! It took a couple of days for my Chihuahua to get used to it. He now uses the stairs all the time and is now quite fast going up and down.
