My dog absolutely loves this carrier...so do I. She is using it also as a dog house, so I just keep it under a coffee table and is perfect.
I bought this carrier just to be able to take her with me in the train, but now I can take her EVERYWHERE with me: the store, restaurant, doctor's office, and virtually any place where usually dogs are not allowed. That is the best part of this carrier. My dog is very good and stays calm and quiet inside.
Also, I rode my motorcycle with her on my back. I put her in the carrier and used it as a backpack. It worked very well since the backpack was also resting on the seat.
So, I am very happy with this product. However I didn't give it 5 stars because of two things that need to be improved:
1)Stability: when you are pulling it can loose stability, so be very careful and keep it straight (may be I am the dumb who is not a good "driver"). Also the handle doesn't feel very sturdy, and
2)Hard on Back: when I put it as backpack (empty, just to carry it), it hurted me on my back a little under my waist when I was walking with it. The lower part of the backpack and wheels are very hard. So, I haven't even tried walking with my dog inside. When it is empty I just carry it with the strap on my shoulder.
Overall, I love this product and would recommend it to everyone who loves his/her dog and doesn't want to leave it home alone."..." Read more

Well made. It really is a bright pink like the picture.
Shape is much more vertical than other carriers including ones by Pet Gear and may be too vertical for your dog. Consider the size of your dog and how it likes to stand, sit, etc. carefully.
Pet Gear makes good carriers. A bit pricey bu they are well made and have lots of pockets and all the features you want. Especially this one. However, if you are going to use this more as a car seat the more square flatter ones might be a better choice. If you are going to use it as a closed carrier or backpack or wheeled cart mostly and your dog fits ok when closed this is a great choice."..." Read more

Just ordered this carrier in black. [...] I got this carrier to carry my 6 lb. chihuahua in. Loved all the storage pockets. I didn't realize it would have so many. Also didn't realize it came with privacy flaps for both ends of the carrier. Both were welcome surprises. Chloe whines when she is put in her hard sided pet taxi for trips to the vet. She has been in her new carrier several times to get used to it and hasn't whined yet. I think she will be much more comfortable in her Sherpa. Full grown she will probably only weigh around 8 lbs. but I went ahead and ordered the medium (up to 16 lbs.) and I think it gives her plenty of room to stand up and turn around. I have been researching soft sided carriers for a while now and think I have found the perfect one for my needs. I was also thrilled with the price. This is a sturdy carrier that's a practical size and my dog seems to like it just fine (incidentally, if I leave it sitting out, the cats won't stay out of it either). In the picture it's not clear that you can only load the pet into the top, and I wanted one where I could just let my dog walk in at-will. The side zipper housed a storage compartment that I didn't need, so I just cut out the inner material that made the pocket, and now it loads on the side and top. I didn't give this the full 5 stars because it's not the most stylish carrier and I prefer a carrier where my dog is incognito, but most of the bags that focus more on style don't have adequate ventilation in my opinion, so this was a good alternative."..."
