These carriers are great for short trips, including visits to the vet, etc. Because you can open them either at the top or at the end, you have a choice as to how you will get your pet inside. For example, the top opening is great for getting reluctant cats inside, but the opening on the end is good for dogs, who can just walk right in. The carrier is lightweight but sturdy, easy to carry, and easy to get in and out of a car. The only thing I have found is that even the largest carrier isn't quite tall enough. My cat is quite big and has long legs. He can stand when he's in the carrier, but only if he keeps his head level with his body. There is not enough headroom for him to hold his head up normally. Lying down he is fine....plenty of room then, but I probably would not use this carrier on a long trip for a pet at the larger end of the recommended limits."..." Read more
