The frame connects together in a different way and confused the delivery men. The wood looks a bit darker than the closeups on this site. We are very pleased with the furniture. Its grand scale looks very imposing (in a good way) in our bedroom and the unexpected touches such as felt-lined drawers, pull-out shelf and power outlets in the nightstands feel like an extra bonus. Be aware that these items are intentionally given a distressed look, so there are imperfections in the finish which may not appeal to all. The only down side is that there is a strong smell in the dresser drawers which has not really dissipated in the month that we have owned the setting. Was this helpful? Yes / No
