Only thing is the chairs are very big and anyone under about 6 foot needs a cushion for back support. Not suitable for a small space. [...] Took a bit of time and patience to put chairs together. The side board that matches this table is a bit taller and deeper than most, so make sure you measure! The chair backs also have a slight reclined angle to them and stick out further from the table than I'd like, but overall, I'm really happy with it. Was this helpful? Yes / No

The tobacco colored (brownish/black) wood is very beautiful with a slight distressed/antiqued finish that creates a casual feel, but it is still sophisticated enough to use in a formal setting if you choose. The leaf/extension even comes in a felt lined bag for easy storage. One note- the chairs are quite large and the backs angle away from the seat somewhat so If you're short, like me (5'2"), your toes will barely touch the ground if you sit all the way back. No big deal, just a little FYI! The seat cushions are a comfy oatmeal colored woven fabric that seems to wear well. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and have received lots of compliments!
