The slate table arrived ahead of schedule and some assembly was required. There were four metal legs, a metal ring to tie the legs in together, 24 nuts/bolts and the top of the table. All the parts were accounted for, and I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly the assembly went. The table top, composed of five fitted sheets of various-toned, variegated slate, sits nice and level, and I'm quite confident that it will prove to be durable. Indeed, the table is a very handsome, well-designed, sturdy piece of furniture.
Apparently, the metal parts of the table were treated with some kind of powder so the table can be used outdoors -- which is where it's presently located. Oregon's coastal rains should thoroughly test the effect of exposure to the elements."..." Read more
