Steady not to blow
Pamela from East Greenbush, NY – Verified Buyer
I live on a a windy corner. I am used to my umbrella blowing wY down the street. With this umbrella base, my umbrella has not blown away even once yet. Rather than fill it with messy sand, I used water and it works just as well. This base also has a feature that fits the different sizes of umbrella poles.
Good for the price

It works. The down side of this item is filling it with the sand. We could not find sand in our area that was not wet and clumping (2 different stores) so we had to spread out the sand on a table, dry it and they funnel it into the stand. A rather cumbersome process. Fortunately other reviewers advise about not putting the plug in until done so we took heed of that. It is functioning fine and to our expectations.
Nice umbrella stand

Read the instructions. Don't put the cap the filling hole until it's all done... it locks and u can't get it off readily. Which is a good thing because it keeps the sand in it. The tube for the umbrella shaft has three fittings it fits sung and centered and it has a screw with a knob to tighten it in. We had high winds and the umbrella was folded and fell over but didn't come out of the stand.
Effective Base for Big Umbrella
Sue from Austin, TX – Verified Buyer
I filled this base with sand, locked in the umbrella, and never looked back. Has worked for many years, securely holding up a 12x12 ft sunshade on the front porch. Certainly heavy to move, but it should be to do the job.
This looks promising and fits lots of different sizes.

Just don't screw on the cover for the fill hole until you're done filling it. The cover locks as it goes on, and it's REALLY hard to take it off afterward. It's designed to go on once and never come off again - kind of like prescription bottles without the release button.
Free Standing Umbrella Base with Stand
Margaret from The Villages, FL – Verified Buyer
It took a while to fill the base with sand but the time was well worth it. The base is perfect and matches my table and chairs. Exactly as described. Timely delivery. Very satisfied with purchase.

Great quality. I read others' posts regarding assembly and I assembled in a few minutes with no difficulty. Stands up to strong Sierra winds!
Plastic umbrella base that does the job
Jeanne from Long beach, CA – Verified Buyer
Minor assembly required. I thought is could use water instead of sand to fill this base, but water that definitely does not work out. Good for it's purpose and true to the description.

This umbrella stand arrived in a timely manner. It is exactly what we needed for our Wayfair umbrella.
Good Quality, yet affordable
Todd from Minneapolis, MN – Verified Buyer
These are nice quality stands that will get the job done, at an affordable price. We use them to hold the umbrellas that go through our table, so they don't need to be fancy looking. When comparing these to the $100+ metal stands, these were a no-brainer for our purpose. They are sturdy (when full) and hold the umbrella with minimal swivel.
