We use them to hold the umbrellas that go through our table, so they don't need to be fancy looking. When comparing these to the $100+ metal stands, these were a no-brainer for our purpose. They are sturdy (when full) and hold the umbrella with minimal swivel. Was this helpful? Yes / No

For years now I have been dealing with rusted out metal umbrella stands - sanding them and then applying chemicals to them to stop the rust and then repainting them. What an ordeal. Doh me...but then I found this one and I am liberated ! It is a bit difficult getting the sand in but no big deal. BTW, I found out you can buy the sand instead of trying to shovel it off the beach. Very disappointed from Miami fl	1.0 1/22/2012 Company is a RIP OFF I ordered 3 of these bases. Wayfair offered free shipping which I thought was wonderful. When they arrived, the bases did not fit my umbrellas When I went to return them Wayffair deducted three (3) times the shipping cost from my refund. This is so disappointing and such a rip off. Be ware when buying from this company especially if you think you may have to return items. They offer free shipping but I have never seen a return policy such as this. Was this helpful? Yes / No
