We received our new fire pit within a week of ordering. Opened the box and set it outside. That was it! We made a fire the very first night and I know we will be using this a lot. 5-year guarantee on burning out the bottom is the best thing - not some chintzy light-weight "pretty" bowl that will burn out or warp after a few hot fires. Easy to pick up with two people by outer ring. The spark screen is well made, although anyone should be bright enough to know not to use it with a roaring fire or it will warp. Don't build a BIG fire with flying sparks in a dry area - but you CAN use the screen with a smaller fire AND for safety when leaving any fire as it burns down. We love the rustic look and the fire dancing through the cut-outs. We'll pack this in our tow car as it is a bit too big for our motor home compartments, but if you have bigger compartments, it might fit. I would recommend this to any hearty outdoor campfire lovers - not a deck trinket, but a great wood burner!
Patina Pits are wonderful!

This is the second Patina fire pit we have owned. We learned from the first one the importance of drilling holes in the bottom if you can't keep it covered all the time. None the less the first one lasted almost five years with much abuse from the weather. These fire pits are beautiful and you can load them up with fire wood for plenty of warmth on cold days and evenings. We entertain outdoors quite a bit and its small enough to take camping. Everyone raves about the looks and the warmth it produces. Its a snap to clean too. Now that we know a little about protecting it from standing water i would guess this one will last 7 or 8 years. We love how sturdy and rustic looking it is. No worries that it will blow over in strong winds. We have tried many cheaper and different types of fire pits. None can compare to the Patina pits for what we use it for, which is every weekend!
