Parker House Kensington X-pandable Entertainment Center in Brown Cherry - KEN15X

I've searched all over at the local furniture chains for a nice wall unit to house my 62 inch TV with limited wall space. I found the perfect style and size on tvstands.com This is the very first time I've ever bought any significant piece of furniture online without seeing it and was really skeptical and very nervous about spending so much money.[...]set up was quick I absolutely LOVE it. Highly recommend it!!

This piece fits our needs almost to perfection. It is mostly as advertised, fits well with our darker colored wood in the living room, and really wasn't that difficult to set up. [...] My main complaint is that we had to remove glass panels from two doors so that our speakers from our surround sound could be heard[...] It somewhat ruins the look to have the glass removed from such an expensive piece of furniture. We were told that there were interchangeable speaker screens included in the purchase. To me this is a major complaint.

Product delivery was not as advertised. There was no assembly or instruction manual, and the delivery crew did not want to set up the wall unit, even though we paid for "White Glove Premium". They also had no idea how to arrange and connect all the pieces - so they didn't. Less than 5 minutes after they left, the unsupported expandable center shelf fell onto glass shelves that the delivery guys didn't install into the towers. The wooden shelf shattered all the glass shelves, and split apart from the fall. Customer service has ordered replacement parts but has not committed to sending anyone to perform the "White Glove Premium" set-up.

The piece is beautiful. Having shopped locally prior to buying, I can say that this website handily beat any price I would have paid at a furniture store. I am satisfied with this purchase, and would buy from this website again. Because the unit is expandable to accommodate different size TV's, it is not one piece, but several pieces. While this is a useful feature, once you adjust the unit to your needs, it doesn't "lock" into place. If you never need to move the unit, this isn't a problem. But if you have to get behind the unit to add a dvd player or stereo component, you have to be very careful. I would like to have seen a way to connect the unit more securely once your final adjustments were made. The two side cabinets attach to the center piece via two allen screws. The holes in the center piece were pre-drilled incorrectly, so that when the cabinets were attached, the trim line on the front of the unit was not flush. I had to crawl into the center piece with my flashlight and drill, and drill new holes to make the unit line up correctly. This would not be an option for anyone that has an aversion to power tools. Nor should it be, for a unit of this price. Overall, I am very happy with this furniture. It looks fabulous in my den, and does exactly what I bought it for: to organize my home entertainment center and look good. But I would be remiss to not mention the issues I experienced or the shortcomings in the design.

It looks even better than it does in the pictures. We love it. Our 52" LCD TV (Samsung) fits very easily. The lighting is fantastic. The hardwood and finishing are the best I have ever seen. I have done lots of comparison shopping for this and similar products and got the best price here.When guests come to our home, they are mesmerized at the first sight. We get nothing but awesome feedback. I have recommended this to friends and family.The furniture pieces are heavy because they are made from pure wood. If you are planning to assemble it yourself, be careful. It is not as easy and individual pieces are heavier than you think. [...]

Delivery service was horrible. It was shipped to withing 40 miles of my house than sat there for 3 WEEKS before the "Gold Glove" deliverers brought it to our house and on their first trip inside began telling my wife all the things they wouldn't do as part of the set up. Very, very poor.

Looks as beautiful in person as it does in the pictures. [...] for such a beautiful well-made piece of furniture, I was disappointed that all 3 overhead lights do not have an 'on/off' switch. Either they are plugged into the wall and they're 'on' or they're unplugged and 'off'. Very inconvenient to work with
