Seems like a good beginner greenhouse from Altadena, CA on 12/10/2014 – Verified Buyer
Purchased this greenhouse for some of our tropical plants that can't tolerate the mild winter chill of the Los Angeles foothills. Assembly took about a day. The greenhouse actually seems very well engineered but is still a challenge to assemble. You must pay extra close attention to the instructions as there are only pictures and no words. The key is patience. The polycarbonate panels were a challenge to insert into the framing, due to their tight fit. I found it best to rub a candle along these channels to help lubricate them, with the wax. The panels then slid in much easier. Had I figured this out early on, I probably would have saved at least an hour of struggling with them. The real test will be when the winds occur in the foothills. If the structure and/or panels can withstand the heavy winds, then I will be completely satisfied. The door does seem a little flimsy but otherwise the entire unit is pretty solid. Also, beware that if you plan on assembling this in a location with limited space, you may have to get creative with a few of the steps, as sliding the roof panels into the frame require a few feet of clearance around the perimeter.

Straightforward assembly, but missing parts from arlington, TX on 04/22/2015 – Verified Buyer
The assembly of this greenhouse was easier than expected, but thoroughly studied the instructions prior to starting.

The diagonal braces supplied are VERY FLIMSY, and my kit was short one piece. Per advice from a blog I stumbled across on the internet, beefed up the braces with eighth-inch L-corner extrusions, a considerable extra expense. Also added my own lockwashers, again per the advice of the same thoughtful blog, to prevent the connections from working loose over time.

Another IMPORTANT point not mentioned in the assembly instructions is that the polycarbonate panels should be SEALED, top and bottom, with dustproofing tape (top) and vent tape (bottom) to maintain clarity and cleanliness of the extruded panels. Without this important step, over time the panels will become dirty with dust, bugs, pollen, dirt, condensation and possibly mold. Sealing each panel doesn't take long, just make sure to do this in the house or ensure the panels are CLEAN so the tape will stick properly.

See Menard's Anti-Dust tape, both items needed are sold together in one package.

Pros: Fairly easy assembly
Cons: Additional parts to strengthen structure and lock the nuts will be needed, as well as tape to seal the panels.

I LOVE THIS GREENHOUSE! from Chappell HIll on 10/15/2014 – Verified Buyer
It took 3 people and 5 hours to get this greenhouse done, but it was totally worth it! Once you get it all together, you realize the simplicity in its design. The directions can be hard to follow and interpret, but overall I think this was fairly easy to put together. It is a well made, sturdy, and durable greenhouse. Not only that, it is a great value. My only regret is that I didn't buy the bigger size!

Great starter greenhouse. Not difficult to assemble. from San Francisco, CA on 08/19/2015 – Verified Buyer
I'm not a build-it-yourself type. But, my 14 year-old daughter and I assembled this greenhouse in about 6 hours. It is more challenging to assemble than IKEA furniture, but not by much.

My best advice would be:

1. Two people minimum. Parts of the roof would have been easier with three people, but it is manageable with two.

2. If anything doesn't fit, resist modifying (cutting/bending/etc) until you've reviewed the pictures again. Some parts will seem to "almost fit," tempting you to use some cutters. But, the order in which the parts sit together matter. And what doesn't fit one way, will fit if you place the parts together in the correct order. Page 24 is one example of this. It would have been easier to understand with some text (instead of pictures).

3. If you get really stuck, going back a couple of steps may help. There were a couple of times when we were confused. But after reviewing the pictures again, and backing up a step or two, the solution was clear.

4. Do not assemble on a windy day.

Pros: Two color choices (I chose green).
Cons: Caution: some sharp corners.

Fabulous Price, Quality Product! from Milford, MI on 05/13/2015 – Verified Buyer
Although this greenhouse was a chore to put together, it is well worth the time and patience required. This size is ideal for the small-scale garden. The polycarbonate construction seems to draw in light! I am able to put in three shelf units which hold nine flats each! It still has space for large pots and I am currently using it to harden-off transplants. It will be a great season-extender as I plan to use it to grow fall cool-season crops and take in some tomato and pepper plants from the garden, as I live in zone 5 this will be a great asset. I did add the automatic vent opener and feel it's an important accessory for a greenhouse.

Pros: Durable, great engineering, high quality product.
Cons: None.

Perfect size, great little greenhouse from De Pere, WI on 09/19/2015 – Verified Buyer
The components arrived in two well-packed vinyl containers with only minimal bending of a few edges. The instructions were all in picture format and easy to follow, for the most part. There are large gaps around each of the polycarbonate panels, and I went through 6 tubes of silicone sealing all of the edges as well as some rather large gaps in the corner and ride framing. There is still a water leak at the rear peak that I need to further investigate, but this is a perfect little greenhouse for our purpose. We built a foundation of pressure treated 2 x 4's and 3/4in plywood and have it anchored with 18in auger stakes at the corners. There are abundant screw holes in the bottom edge of the frame which allow a very secure attachment to the foundation (this seam is also sealed with silicone).

Pros: perfect size, lightweight, very presentable (rather than the frame and plastic sheeting types)
Cons: large gaps around panels and at frame connections (corners and ridgeline)

Takes about 10 days and 2 cases of beer (alone) from CA on 11/22/2015 – Verified Buyer
This is my first greenhouse and I don't have many regrets with purchasing it except perhaps I should have gotten a bigger one. Considering how many parts there are, I'm impressed with the organization (labeling) of pieces and instructions. A couple of the aluminum parts were bent slightly but that never presented a problem for assembly. A plastic clip was missing and I've requested one from Palram. The door doesn't shut easily---perhaps it's not as square as it needs to be.

Pros: It's light enough that a couple people can pick it up and move it around in our back yard. We live in a low wind area and its not going to blow away. I'm really amazed with how hot it gets inside during the day.
Cons: I'd like to add shelving but I see that the shelves would cost about as much as the greenhouse and I'd have to disassemble the greenhouse to get the necessary screws into the tracks.

Great for the casual hobbyist! from Livingston, AL on 10/31/2015 – Verified Buyer
I wanted a small greenhouse to help in re-purposing our too-grassy property. This is a relatively easy build (I did it mostly by myself) and seems to be sturdy enough to stand up to the elements. The size is perfect for my purpose and it looks great. I still need to add a potting bench and more shelves, but I will be starting to use it in the next few days. I can't wait to get it fully outfitted and producing new plants for our gardens.

Pros: Easy assembly and good looks
Cons: Haven't found any yet.

Whew, glad that's done! from deer lodge, TN on 12/22/2015 – Verified Buyer
It was a challenge assembling with almost no wording, just pictures, but if you take time to review each step again before trying to make it happen, look at the parts and where they go, then go for it, you'll have a lot of fun making the house! Keeping things square was the biggest challenge; it took a long time to put together because I've never done anything like this, but well worth it! I worked for several hours by myself, then my husband had 2 helpers.....in the same timeframe I got more done! Just had to brag, sorry. A second person would definitely help at times Use silicone spray as needed to help slide the polycarbonate.
I'm decorating with lights at the ground level and putting some landscaping around it.

Perfect & Easy to put together from Prescott Arizona on 03/10/2015 – Verified Buyer
This is perfect for our needs to house plants and seedlings. Two people can stand up inside comfortably. The installation was fairly easy. I recommend laying out all materials in advance in numerical order! Then just follow the instructions. It is much sturdier than it appears at the beginning, with several cross braces.
