Really needed this tool for the meats and poultry I use in several receipes. Works well

At first blush this meat pounder seemed like overkill, but it was a great choice. We are all familiar with the variety of meat pounders, some of which if not used correctly will damage the meat, and some that are so light that a rolling pin or a small jar if pickles are a better alternative. With this pounder it takes about 3 thumps and a chicken breast or steak is evenly and perfectly flattened to your desired thickness and tenderized. We use ours as a space saving paper towel holder - the weight of it ensures the towels don't fall over if you are using one hand. Bonus!
