I'm very pleased with this lamp. It looks expensive and classy. I saw some reviews that mentioned stains on the shade...my shade was completely wrapped and spotless. Each of the four parts easily slide into each other and lock into place. Reading the instructions to put the lamp shade and the light defuser together made that a lot easier. The defuser really adds to the look of the lamp and causes the light to not be so harsh. This lamp actually holds TWO 100 watt bulbs, not one like the listing said. I love that I can light up my whole room. If I want a dimmer light, I unscrew one of the bulbs which is easy to reach from the top of the lamp shade. The on-off switch is a push button on the floor and you just step on it...you don't have to bend down. High quality lamp, well worth the price!
