Oyama Rice Cooker, Warmer and Steamer
Great Rice Cooker
Steve from Florida– Verified Buyer
We cook brown rice only and it is done perfectly in 30 minutes. It took my last rice cooker 1 12 hours to cook the same amount of brown rice. There is hardly any sticking of rice on the bottom and what there is easily comes off with a little soaking. I love knowing there are no harmful chemicals being emitted into my rice from a nonstick pot. I haven't used the steamer component, since I bought it only for rice. Very pleased with this purchase.
Sturdy Well Functioning Product

I have found that this product makes excellent rice. The reason I bought this was that the inner liner has no coating. I had used another rice maker for years but had to replace the liner several times because the coating would peel off (so you know where it went--into the rice). Without the coating, it is harder to clean, but that is an acceptable trade off to me. However, there is still quite a bit of spitting when it cooks, so I have to place it carefully on my counter so as not to steam my cabinetswallpaper. I purchased the 10 cup size (bigger than my old one, a 7 cup size), and it gave me quite a bit more room for steaming vegetables as I cook my rice. Check the dimensions carefully if you are planning to keep it on the counter: it seems bigger than other manufacturers. Overall, it seems sturdy, and so far has worked very well.
Great rice cooker.

I bought this as a gift for a friend but I do have the smaller 7 cup cooker in white. It works like your average rice cooker, nice and easy BUT what I'm impressed about this brand Oyama is that the cooking basket is stainless steel and it's a heavy one. Most rice cookers in the market have a non-stick coating in basket. So that feature is what'd me on this brand and nothing else. Had ro replace an old one that worked just fine but the nonstick coating was starting to deteriorate so I HAD to replace it.

Cooks faster then my old one. Easy, quick cleaning. What's more important: not Polytetrafluoroethylene! Also looks great in my kitchen.
Nice Rice Cooker

It does the job, is stainless steel, and is very simple. Would have given it a five star, but the seals are likely not long lasting
Very Nice Rice Cooker

This is the second Oyama rice cooker we've owned...the first one lasted about 5 years with almost daily use...(Asian household). We found our original 5 cup was a tad too small for our family of two adults. We're happier with the 7 cup we ordered most recently as there is plenty of space with no worry of bubbling over when we cook 3 or 4 of the small measuring cup the cooker comes with. Should easily accomodate a family of four and the stainless steel pot is a real plus.

The rice cooker steamer works very well. It is a fantastic product. I wish they made one a bit smaller too. I got it very quick after I placed my order.
so good so far

Bought this 10-cup about 2 months ago.........so far it is still working. Hope it will lasts at least a year. The stainless steel inner tray was easy to clean, if u soak it at least an hour before washing. Cooks ok with white rice and brown rice.
Nothing beats stainless steel bowl
Hongyuan Weng from Northborough, MA– Verified Buyer
Very nice rice cooker with stainless steel bowl. Much better than non-stick material that began to fall off within 12 months of use, even with the expensive models we've tried in the past. While the stainless steel bowl does get a little (just a little) rice stuck at the bottom, it's very easy to clean - just fill the bowl with water and leave it overnight. The next morning, you can clean it up in seconds.
