I own this same product in the 5-cup capacity. But the 7-cup affords me to cook 4 cups rice wsteamer basket to feed 4 meals twice per day for 3 days. The black colored version fits in better with my kitchens appliancesdecor and looks less plastic and cheap than its white option. The design allows for moisture overflow and catch with a clever drain cup that sits at the back right below the lids hinging spot--very nice little detail. With exception of past two weeks, I had been using mine every other day since I got it--2 months now I believe. No problem. I plan on getting a second 7cup sized one. PROS The stainless steel performs better than my ceramic model--cleans better too versatile--can steam cook both rice and veggies in separate baskets though same time and kept on as warmer (though I wouldnt advise leaving it on warmer for more than 112 days else rice begins to brown and both rice and veggies steamed lose moisture) cooks 7cups rice or 4cups rice if basket used with it to steam veggies at same time easy break down with baskets and dishwasher safe cooks FAST with even heat cooking distribution (takes some experimenting to find right water to rice ratio with veggie steaming to avoid bottom bucket browning and sticking) upgrade to the 7cup from 5cup size no remarkable difference--still stores away needing little space and when in use takes up little countertop space (I place it on my cutting board when in use--though not necessary). CONS I had to order a replacement--first one that came had a faulty heating element and would pop to warmer mode in less than five minutes and would not acknowledge reset I would like it to have a separate warming dial to permit longer days in warmer mode or ability of a under top lid moister fusing device to enable longer use of warming mode or separate warming onoff switch--for my needs and as equipped, I cook my rice adding in a broth to the last needed cup of water and steam my veggies in a separate stove steamer than mix them as I transfer their contents into ceramic casserole dishes for fridge keep and scoop out needed portions into a glass measuring dish for microwave reheat the plastic spoon is functional but fails any versatile utility (ie scrapemix and measuring--would be a plus if made a bit longer to allow one end to be designed for scrapemix and the other end a measureserving cup the steaming basket is awkward to lift out away from the rice basket it sits in--no lip or wedge offering--something is needed akin to a paint can lid opener to pry it up if not redesigned the stainless steel baskets leave a cooking trace though is easily remedied with a watervinegar solution. Wayfairs customer service was great they sent a replacement fast and without fuss their instructions for dispensing with the damaged one were clear and convenient. As in their company name, their prices are fair and hard to beat. Theyve become my retail site preference and definitely my first go to for item find. Price and quality are Way Fair.
Sturdy Well Functioning Product

I have found that this product makes excellent rice. The reason I bought this was that the inner liner has no coating. I had used another rice maker for years but had to replace the liner several times because the coating would peel off (so you know where it went--into the rice). Without the coating, it is harder to clean, but that is an acceptable trade off to me. However, there is still quite a bit of spitting when it cooks, so I have to place it carefully on my counter so as not to steam my cabinetswallpaper. I purchased the 10 cup size (bigger than my old one, a 7 cup size), and it gave me quite a bit more room for steaming vegetables as I cook my rice. Check the dimensions carefully if you are planning to keep it on the counter: it seems bigger than other manufacturers. Overall, it seems sturdy, and so far has worked very well.
Great rice cooker.

I bought this as a gift for a friend but I do have the smaller 7 cup cooker in white. It works like your average rice cooker, nice and easy BUT what I'm impressed about this brand Oyama is that the cooking basket is stainless steel and it's a heavy one. Most rice cookers in the market have a non-stick coating in basket. So that feature is what'd me on this brand and nothing else. Had ro replace an old one that worked just fine but the nonstick coating was starting to deteriorate so I HAD to replace it.
I can't tell you how much i love this item

This product is great! I love how simple it is and how it has the option to both make rice and to steam vegetables at the same time! (though the vegetables have a prominent taste of rice if you do that. I'm the only one in my family who likes them that way.) Though, if you're thinking of trying brown rice in this cooker. Don't. it doesn't come out well. At least it didn't for me. Pros: easy, super cute looking, can be used often Cons: doesn't work well with brown rice,

This rice cooker is the best invention ever!!! We use it all the time. Great quality. Stainless steel basket and cleans really easy. Comes with rice paddle and steam basket. Will cook then automatically switch to warm when finished. Last night we steamed rice in the bottom and asparagus in the steamer basket. It was great!! Considering buying for family members for Christmas!!
Best Rice Cooker EVER

We have tried several Rice Cookers and have never been happy with the results. The third try is a charm. The stainless steel seems to make alll the difference. The rice is just like the rice we love in our favorite asian places. Also, it is easy to use, easy to clean and the rice stays nice while waiting for the rest of the meal to be finished. The veggies we put on top before cooking is complete are wonderful. WE LOVE IT!!
Great product, matches what I want in a rice cooker

This was recommended by a friend based on what I was looking for in a rice cooker. It's exactly what I wanted in a rice cooker with a stainless steel inner pot that would not peel like the expensive ones I have used in the past. I gave a four star because I have only used once for the short period of purchase so far. I believe I would enjoy for a long time to come.
Nothing beats stainless steel bowl
Hongyuan Weng from Northborough, MA – Verified Buyer
Very nice rice cooker with stainless steel bowl. Much better than non-stick material that began to fall off within 12 months of use, even with the expensive models we've tried in the past. While the stainless steel bowl does get a little (just a little) rice stuck at the bottom, it's very easy to clean - just fill the bowl with water and leave it overnight. The next morning, you can clean it up in seconds.
This rice cooker is good so far

I have used this rice cooker for two weeks. It is good so far However, 10 cups size rice cooker is a little bit big for my family (4 adults + 1 kid). The plastic lid is not that elegant and looks cheap. The quality of the stainless steel inner pot looks not so good as my instant pot
Great Rice Cooker
Steve from Florida – Verified Buyer
We cook brown rice only and it is done perfectly in 30 minutes. It took my last rice cooker 1 12 hours to cook the same amount of brown rice. There is hardly any sticking of rice on the bottom and what there is easily comes off with a little soaking. I love knowing there are no harmful chemicals being emitted into my rice from a nonstick pot. I haven't used the steamer component, since I bought it only for rice. Very pleased with this purchase.
