30 degree steps too big Both pans I used on it heated very quickly and evenly, however, 30 degree steps in temperature seem to be too big. I'll have to experiment some more maybe I can find a power level setting that works well, but I suspect I'll have the same problem that way too. I'll probably end up switching back and forth between too settings in order to maintain the cooking temperature I want. |

Experimental cooktop I bought this one unit to play with because I am considering purchasing a 5 place induction top for a house that I am building, so far it appears to function as promised. The pan that comes with it, is junk, it is only good for boiling pasta. |

Keep the heat out of the Kitchen I use my IH portable in the afternoon to cook with to reduce the amount of heat in my kitchen in the summer time. I will also be taking it with me in my RV to reduce the heat during my summer travels. If you go RVing you will have to use the added 110 at the 30/50 amp connector - because it will use up much of your alotted amps. The only thing I don't understand is why they send, as an add on the pan - its not much good for anything except boiling water. All so make sure you have pans that are Inductive Heat compatible, you can test out your pan with a magnet. |
