This playhouse is great! I purchased it for my 2 year old son and he loves to go in and play. When we received it the door frame was cracked but there were easy instructions on what to do and we received a new door from Kidcraft within one week. It did take some extra hands to it together (my husband and both grandads did the job), but it was assembled within 2 to 3 hours total. My son likes the extra features it has like the sink and the mailbox and the flower pots are a nice touch. It is very weather friendly but does require sealing about once a year per the instructions; which is really no different from most outdoor wood furniture. Currently this Christmas gift is erected in the basement and it is great. There is tons to do - love the basketball hoop and soccer net. The child will be 3 in April and loves ALL the features - washing his hands at the "sink", using the "drive up window" and the "workbench" and of course, the "gas pump". He has a bag of junkmail to put thru the slot just like at Mima & Papa's house. In the spring they will put it outside but intend to bring it back in for next winter. It easily goes together. Agree that it would be an improvement if the molded in features had color. I talked w/ a paint expert and decided against painting them as someone else suggested. We bought this for our children because it was beautiful and unique. It was easy to put together, looks great, and is very sturdy. My kids love the house, but my favorite part is the lattice deck. Now I can sit outside in the back yard and just relax and watch my girls and their friends play. It keeps them active for hours. this house is so adorable, my girls love it ages 2 and 6, its so girly with the pink door, hearts, purple roof. there are many cute playhouses but none with these colors and my girls are very girly girls. But you may need a drill to put it together, the walls go together by sliding tabs into pre-drilled holes one wall did not have the holes drilled and we had to drill them ourselves, the other wall the holes are not quite in the right place and should be re-drilled so as to go together more securely, but once the roof is attached that should be fine. we haven't screwed the roof in place yet because we set it up in the house until its nicer outside. It was actually snowing the day it was delivered :) I would have gladly rated it a 5 if the holes were drilled and in the right place."..."  Read more
