Keep fountain completely filled at all times to assure pump longevity. If outdoor temp is cool, keep fountain in sun, if outdoor temp is hot, keep fountain in shade. Run fountain from just before sun up to sun down. Hummingbirds love this fountain. They like to perch on the top knob and splash around in the top tier! A must have for hummingbird lovers. I used this fountain for several years,I replace when it's appearance shows too much sun damage, usually once every 18 months. The fountain arrived promptly and in perfect condition. It was a breeze to set up. The pump comes with an on and off switch on the cord, and the water flow can be easily adjusted with a simple twist of the base of the pump. It is a small but powerful pump, and I found the lowest setting worked best for great water flow and quiet operation. The copper bowl I received has an attractive subtle red patina that adds visual interest in different lighting. The sound of dripping water is clearly audible and very calming. Adding water to the fountain is as simple as pouring water into a bowl. It is a beautiful and well crafted piece and I highly recommend this fountain to anyone looking for a table top fountain that is both simple and elegant."..."  Read more

I purchased the Napa to place in a small garden area where a fountain would be a perfect addition without being too overwhelming for the location. I was right. It looks stunning, sounds wonderful, has the classic look of a stone mason fountain but with the easy care of fiberglass. Very easy to put together, and has the option of either low/high water falling "sound" on the pump. Should you opt to use the high setting on the pump (as I do- the more sound the better I say) then keep a close eye on the water level and be prepared to replace water each day. Should you opt to use the low setting on the pump the birds will play/bath in the top tier- which is delightful to watch. If there had to be a down side to this fountain- and frankly it isn't much of one - because it is fiberglass you'll need a water treatment weekly (or bi-weekly) to prevent pink algae formation. Be sure to purchase a treatment that is animal friendly, place a few drops in the fountain water each time you need to add/replace water to bring the water level up and then forget about it. Bought this for my new spa inspired bathroom and it is perfect. The motor is quiet, but so is the sound of falling water. If you are looking for a louder water sound effect, this will not be the fountain for you. The head of the fountain is very smooth meaning that there is no friction between the water and the reseviour, hence less noise than water hitting over rocks etc. All in all this is a wonderful, clean looking, beautiful fountain and I gave it four stars due to the cost only, a lower cost it would have been five stars for certain! Please note however the price is reflective of the Blomus name, the price here at Everyday Fountain is the very lowest and I looked EVERYWHERE before I purchased as I knew this was the fountain that I wanted."..."  Read more
