The height on these bowls did the trick. He took to it right away. The only complaint I have is that his collar bangs against the side when he eats and it is a little noisy, but definitely worth it. He was laying on the floor, using his paw to push the food out of the bowl onto the floor. He would eat the food off of the floor and always leave a mess.
