I really got this for the bench and gave the ottomans to a friend because I didn't need them. The ottomans are nice and sturdy and very versatile. The bench was better than I expected. I'd been reading quite a few of reviews on storage benches in this price range being flimsy or poorly made, this was neither. I use it by my front door for shoe storage and someplace to sit when putting on or taking off your shoes. It is perfect for this. I sit on it just about every day and I have no worries whatsoever about it buckling on me, it's like a rock. The hinges hold the door up so you can put things in it without worrying about having to hold it yourself. The surface material, while not looking like a super high-end piece, is still nice and classy and I wouldn't be embarrassed to have it anywhere in my house. Please understand that I love WAYFAIR and my new storage bench...it is elegant and much more beautiful than I imagined. I was unsure that the color wouldt match the beige fabrics in my bedroom but took a chance anyway. The item came direct from Skyline and the box stated the correct style number and parchment as the color. However, inside was the BROWN SHANTUNG fabric tufted bench instead of of the smooth beige fabric bench I was expecting. The factory error resulted in a stunning result that I never would have thought of! Wayfair is a wonderful company and whatever I order always has happy results! I purchased this bench, in order to help me with a storage problem in my bedroom. My bedroom is if average size, without a large walk in closet...which I grew accustomed to in my last home. In order to solve my problem of where to store my PJ's...I thought let's try a storage bench... All of my PJ's fit in the bench (and I have a lot of PJ's). The bench is well made and looks just like the picture. The only problem...a little shorter than the measurements state, and it is not hinged. So - Im gonna call them out. Laz-y-boy sells this EXACT SAME ottoman (they call it the LUCA) for about 850.00. We saw it at their showroom and fell in love with it. Their price drove it out of consideration. Thankfully I was obsessed with browsing Wayfair.com at the time, so I came across it online.
