Ottomans

I ordered this ottoman to replace a large wooden storage coffee table that for years I have adored. I wanted something a bit more friendly for my kids, while also adding richness to my family room and providing ample storage space. The item came yesterday and all I can say is..WOW! The brown is a rich color. Though it is not real leather, I certainly couldn't tell much of a difference (real expensive leather scratches, the cheaper the leather means no scratches). This does not look like high end leather, but it certainly does not look like imitation either. When I first opened it to see the storage, I didn't believe I would get all I had in my wooden one to fit. Boy, was I surprised! Everything fit (blankets, dvd player, cords, and tons of dvd's), with a bit of room to spare. What I really liked is the hinges. When you open the top it stays open and if you gently hit it to close, it does not slam shut. It's lowers slowly and for my kids sake, no worries of fingers or heads..lol, getting slammed. It is not very heavy, but is very sturdy. The bonus to the item was the price. I couldn't find anything comparable (and I tried) for the price. Overall, I am impressed and very happy. i was looking for a storage ottoman to move stuff off of my kitchen counters. this was the perfect solution for me, so i both 2. the bright orange and green colors are very popular now and they match my orange leather dining chairs form west elm exactly. the leather is also easy to keep clean in a kitchen/dining area. although they come collapsed for shipping, they are very easy to open up to full size and seem high quality and very sturdy. i sat on one and i'm over 250lbs with no problem, but i don't think they're intended for seating. they do have a great level padded surface top to put a tray on and lots of space inside. arrived when they were scheduled to and the price is right. all in all very pleased, but i kinda wish the top was hinged, instead of fully removable. sorry can't think of any other cons at the moment."..."  Read more

Couldn't be happier with this product. I purchased this for my husband for Christmas 3 years back as he would use "cardboard" boxes on top of an old "very low" foot stool. Age group ~ husband is 62, looking into chair and ottoman for 85 year old Mom. Height ~ Adjustable. The round part of the legs, as seen in the photo, can be removed to adjust the height. We initially had them removed, but he just had foot surgery so, with the included tool that we keep inside the storage area, I simply attached the bottoms for additional height along with a soft pillow on top. Plus, this comes right to the height of the sofa...not one of those low ones that cramp your legs. Material ~ Very durable and soft!! He uses it daily for many hours and there is not one worn out spot on this footstool/ottoman. Storage ~ He is an avid reader and stores his novels inside the footstool. They are no longer all over the sofa. This makes a happy "ME'. ;) Cleaning ~ All I've had to do to this is run the vacuum over it once a week and dust the legs with a soft cloth. Easy!! Return Customer ~ I am now looking into the chair and ottoman for my 85 year old Mom who can use the "assist lift" and the straightness of the back, after having back surgery. Price ~ I did much research on footstools/ottomans for my husband. This was by far the best the quality for the dollar. I am very, very happy with this products."..."  Read more
