It has a halogen bulb, which sounds bright, but it is diffused twice through the surface of the bulb and again through the dachshund to provide a really soft glow. Would be great for a night light in a room. It's really fun-looking, and it comes with a bulb and instructions for installation. It also comes with a wall plug and switch. Service Review I received the dachshund lamp 4 DAYS after purchasing it! That was completely unexpected. Incredibly prompt delivery, good packaging (not too much/too little), and undamaged.
