These Para cord bracelets are made in the honor of fallen Marine Cpl Matthew Reed Smith. Colleen has lost her son in the Iraq war. Cpl Matthew Smith was in a helicopter with 31 Marines that crashed and all were killed. Colleen wanted to go to Iraq and follow thru with the dream of her son in helping the people of Iraq. She needed to raise the money to accomplish this dream. These bracelets funded her trip to Iraq in September 2010. Now that she has realized one of her dreams, and now she continues to help other Mothers who have lost their sons and daughters in war since World War I. These mothers are known as the Gold Star Mothers. Your purchase goes a long way in helping this cause. The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variation in color and design.
