OXO was founded in 1990 on the philosophy of Universal Design, which means the design of products usable by as many people as possible. For OXO, that means designing products for young and old, male and female, lefties and righties and many with special needs. The goal of making products more usable forces OXO to first identify problems and inefficiencies of existing products (including their own!), not only in terms of comfort, but performance as well. This gives OXO the foundation to meet their commitment of making products that make a tangible improvement in peoples' daily lives.

There is nothing like OXO for ease of use in kitchen tools. This kettle is well balanced and easy to use when pouring - tilt it and the spout opens automatically. It is sleek and lovely except in one respect. The handle is right over the lid, making it impossible to fill from the water dispenser in the refrigerator. I got over it pretty quick, because I have wanted one of these kettles forever for the ease of pouring. The whistle wasn't mentioned in the description, but it is loud enough that I will never boil it dry.
Decent Kettle though a little overpriced..

The kettle works great and performs as advertised. Though I was expecting the kettle to be a little heavier duty for the price paid --It's as light as models less than half its price. I don't care for the fact that it opens directly under the handle either as I use a water purifying pitcher and its inconvenient to have to pour it at just the right angle to avoid the handle. So if OXO wants to be truly innovative, with consumers needs in mind, they would relocate the refill lid-possably to the left or right a bit. All that said I like the pitcher just fine as it is fairly functional and isn't over the top like some other models.

This oxo teapot was a replacement for one of the same style. The last one lasted 15years. Hope to get the same service out of this one.

Love the kettle. Quality is great and it looks perfect.

Either the product, or the kettle I received, is imperfect. The small scres holding the parts together were loose on arriva-- I tighened with a Phillips screwdriver. The thing that makes me feel that the kettle is defective in its manufacture is that a lot of steam comes out around the lid, which probably means that the seal is inadequate. The uplift handle is a nice feature ND IT IS an attractive kettle to have on the stove.

A nice looking kettle with good balance when pouring but a little awkward to fill through the lid. The spout cap should close by itself rather than one having to manually close it.

The kettle is exactly as pictured. A beautiful addition to my home. I drink a lot more tea now than before just to enjoy it!
Love this tea pot!

Good price and quality. I like how easy it is to open the top of the pot and not having a seperate piece.
Nice tea kettle

I've had the kettle for about a month now. Well balanced, easy to pour. Good weight, and the uplift handle as well as the whistle are working well.
Great Kettle, but the plastic handle
Sad one from Williamston, NC
The kettle itself is great, but the plastic handle on the top is pulling out of the base. I have tried everything from super glue to liquid nails to hold it, but nothing works so far. What can I do? Coltrain from Williamston NC
