Beautiful, elegant bath fixtures
Mountain Dweller from South Lake Tahoe, CA – Verified Buyer
I purchased two Astor chrome sconces to flank upper vanity cabinets that are centered on a large, tile framed vanity mirror without much depth between the mirror and cabinets. I only found three fixtures out of thousands that would actually work with less than a 4.5" depth projection from the base of fixture. I am very pleased with these. Made of heavy chrome (which matches the rest of what's already in the two room bathroom) and just enough obscured white glass to still allow light through, these sconces are understated and elegant. The rectangular cut out design at the chrome base adds just the right amount of traditional element to what could be an extremely sleek and contemporary fixture. They seem well made and my electrician was even impressed with the quality. My only beef is the price was extremely high for what they are. They are not American made and while they are well made, they are not huge fixtures with tons of additional elements that really warrant the $255.00 plus price tag per unit. They should be priced closer to $175.00 per unit but even with that said, I am happy with them, they are just what I was looking for and they've added much needed light and beauty to my vanity area.
Beautiful but not enough light:(

I used 4 of these stretched across long vanity. If it wasn't for recessed above, it would not have been enough light. BUT.. The finish and sturdiness is bar none the best I've seen in a sconce!

Installed this in my guest bath and all our guests have commented on it. Have now installed in two of my client's baths. We use a GE T10 #16778 halogen bulb with it that provides a lot of light.
