It is a little small for that purpose, and construction is so flimsy that any breeze at all turns it inside out. If got news for you - beaches usually have some wind! Very light and portable. It will be great protection for when the young grandson is having his nappy outside this season.And it makes a great conversation piece since I'm a native Texan but living in Canada.
