They don't make furniture like they use2 from Edgewater, NJ	3.0 2/28/2011 Good from far -Far from good The media center looks great on the website. When it arrived and I opened the box that weighed what seemed like a ton of bricks, I realized that I had made a grave mistake. The unit was made totally of presswood and it was a plastic laminate not even a wood veneer. It looks and feels cheap up close but when I finally got it put together hours later, it was presentable. The hardware probably cost more than the unit itself. Buyer beware...you could probably score a much better unit at IKEA. Plain and simple...this unit is cheap garbage! Was this helpful? Yes / No

There was a scratch on the surface but is luckily hidden by our cable box. Overall, this was a good purchase and accomodates our needs: most of our dvds fit and the unit allows wires to be hidden while still adding decorative elements with shelving. You should know that the picture may be deceiving; it is actually a stand and a support panel that must be purchased together in order to get the look from the picture.
