While this platform bed is listed as being available in the "Eastern King" and "California King" sizes, the "Eastern King" is actually just another name for a "Standard King" so as long as your headboard is the kind that attaches to the wall behind the bed, this will work fine!"

"Hello Juan. Their beds are constructed of 100% kiln dried hardwood. This ensures strength and longevity. The tropical hardwoods used in the beds are indigenous to Indonesia. Tropical mahogany has a tight grain and is similar to American Cherry, varying in reds and browns in its natural state and is used in the majority of their products."

"Hi Helen. This bed frame is a total of 14" H with the bottom of the mattress support to the floor being 9"H. Of the 5" height for the side rails on the bed your mattress will sink in 4"."

The only issue is that we received NO directions as to how to put it together. We had to go off intuition... We searched EVERYTHING in the shipping materials and couldn't find it. Regardless, after reading some reviews and knowing that it came with some extra pieces, we were able to count out and assign all the pieces correctly. It's comfortable and looks great! janese d herren from providence rhode island	5.0 4/20/2012 beautiful bed i had waited for my "green" mattress set to be built.but to my great disapointment my antique bed was too short for todays standard mattress and box springs. i also needed a platform bed to comply with the warranty . the modus bed came in 3 boxes. it arrived so fast & they complied with my delivery request. it was easy to assemble. just needed a phillipshead screwdriver. i was a little skeptical do to the very low price, but this seems to be a well made quality piece of furniture.the rich looking dark finish is beautiful and matches my headboard which i was able to use afterall. thank you Was this helpful?
