WHOA! I was surprised.
Rhonda from PARK CITY, UT – Verified Buyer
When the Cat Playstation arrived, I just didn't realize how big it was, and yes I did read the measurements online. I ended up putting it in the hallway, and was afraid everyone would run into it. It is the perfect spot. I purchased the gray color, and the reasons I love this item are, it's made with carpet not faux fur, it has 2 scratching posts, and most importantly, the first condo from the bottom is a safe place away from the dog. I am using the first resting ledge for food and water, with a slip proof mat underneath. FYI: One year and a half ago, I lost my babyboy at the age of 17. I was devastated, but I am now ready for a new little partner. So the playstation is ready, and this week-end I'm bringing home the new kitty. She/he will be able to see me from the playstation while I work in my office. I love it!
Very poorly made and STINKY
Paulette from San Diego, CA – Verified Buyer
I bought this product based on the positive reviews.Perhaps I got a lemon, but I did see several complaints in other reviews that are true. The carpet smells terrible. I put the tree next to an open door for 3 days and it still stinks (the chemical new carpet smell). Plus the carpet is very thin. The unit is straight up and down so the cats have difficulty getting beyond the second level. When they do make it to the top, it is difficult for them to get down gradually, they practically have to leap from the top to the floor. Also, the upper unit is wobbly. The box it was delivered in was falling apart, but the unit somehow survived. Finally, staples are coming out of the sisal scratchers (disaster if cat gets a claw caught in it) and it is poor quality sisal as well. I requested to return, but the shipping is so expensive it is ridiculous. $170 and it will probably end up in the trash. Sorry, Wayfair, I won't be ordering anymore through you anytime soon. I hope these reviews get passed along to the manufacturer. So disappointed.
Good For Big Cats Too
Intissar from Mesa, AZ – Verified Buyer– Top 1000 Reviewer
You just can't 'decorate' if you want happy cats; sure, it is a carpeted monstrosity. Two cats, tolerate each other, immediately shared this. One cat is big and heavy (a load), and this unit accommodates without crummy wobble effects. She is old, but is able to use the layout to climb to the top. The grey carpet is a medium-dark neutral grey with no brown or blue undertones. My unit was seamed well, but I did have to cut off some fly-away threads and fibers to neaten it up. The layout of the ledges and openings allows for the unit to be rotated to where it likely makes sense for where you want to place it. The middle, round cubby is a full 14 inches round on the inside dimension, room for a bigger cat. Arrives assembled. You might need help unboxing and moving it, heavy.
This cat tree is MUCH MORE than I expected!
Donna D from Long Beach, CA – Verified Buyer
First of all, the tree was fully assembled. Immediately, both large cats were attracted to the tree. I placed flat bar bells on the bottom of tree to insure that it wouldn't tip since both of my cats love to leap and are 13 - 14 pounds. The cats had to adjust to sharing the tree since one cat dominates the other cat. Sharing the tree was/is easy since there are many places to sit AND since there are a couple of open "houses" that allow for one cat to be protected from the other. I was having my roof repaired. When the roofer saw this cat tree, his conversation and attention went to the tree. He stated that he had been looking for a cat tree and had not seen one of this quality or size. He thought the price was unbelievable. I gave the roofer my invoice so that he could order this specific tree. We love this tree! It is beautiful, functional, affordable ... and much more.

First of all, lightning-fast delivery - it got here 3 days after I ordered it, with a holiday in between. The box was damaged, but it's a testament to how solidly built this cat tree is that it was just fine. My two boys were on this before it was fully out of the box. They love it & have no problems getting up to the top cradle, but they're 5 month old Siamese athletes. Main sleeping hang-outs are the top tunnel and cradle. I expect them to get up to 14lbs each and this tree will have no problem accommodating them. The only negative, as noted in another review, is that there's no good intermediate landing place & they end up jumping from the top to the floor, which makes me nervous - so I put a carpet next to it for softer landings. Clearly, it doesn't bother the kitties! It's big but decent looking & a relatively small footprint - better they have a mom-approved place to climb that doesn't have breakables on it. This is an incredible buy compared to the others I've seen in the marketplace - maybe not the top grade carpet, but pretty decent. "New carpet" smell diddipates in a day or two. I give it 5 paws.
Great station, for medium-sized cat.
Jana Bell from Eugene, OR – Verified Buyer
The is a great cat station. Carpeting is generous, nicely balanced & steady, lots of places for felines to explore, rest, play or hide. It might be better designed with more platform area around the middle enclosure for cat to jump to and from. I looked forward to having this for my cat and it does not disappoint. HOWEVER, while all my previous cats have been 9 to 13 lbs., my current cat for whom I bought the station is large in stature and in weight. She is 18 lbs. and taller and bigger than any cat I've ever owned. Unfortunately, this station and its parts are too small for her. She barely fits and has trouble moving from one level to another. There's just not enough room for her to move freely. She's not using this with the joy I know my previous, smaller cats would have loved. So, beware, owners. Take size into account.
My Cat Says, "Give it five stars!"
Sandra from Cullman, AL – Verified Buyer
I was looking for a tree that was sturdy and wouldn't tip over, and this one certainly fills the bill. It's very heavy, (but easy to move) and my large male cat can take a flying leap onto any level and the tree doesn't budge. He completely ignores the lowest cradle, which is kind of isolated from the rest of the tree, but would be a nice napping spot for a cat who isn't a climber. Nick, however, loves to climb and spends a good part of his day on the other cradles and perches. When he isn't climbing all over it, he's using the tree to watch the birds and squirrels outside or to take a siesta. The box was beat up when it arrived, but the tree was perfect. I noticed that some of the carpet seams looked like they might come apart, but they haven't, even with the rough treatment they've received from my boy. So I'm very happy with the tree, and more importantly, so is Nicky.
My cats love it.
Gail from South Lyon, MI – Verified Buyer
The higher cats can climb, the safer they feel as its their natural instinct to be up high so they can elude predators. So, of course,my cats prefer the highest perch on this cat tree while sometimes preferring the second highest which is the barrel.Occasionally, my oldest cat of 12 years old decides not to go all the way to the top & sleeps in the third level "closed barrel" where he feels safe. This cat tree, being made of real carpet rather than the faux fur(which sheds a lot) is very sturdy & does not come smashing down to the ground if a cat takes a flying leap onto it.Forget about your cat using the lowest perch because it will never happen.Every cat ought to have one of these. Pros: Attractive piece of furniture that looks well with any decor. Cons: Its expensive, but worth the money because cats need furniture, also.
It's pretty darn tall!
Denise from Cottonwood, AZ
Even though the product description told me how tall it was, it was even taller than expected. It is very sturdy, fairly good quality carpet, the right color. And it comes pre-assembled....YAY! It does not have the free standing cradle area shown in the picture (shown beside the condo) but otherwise is as the photograph shows. At first my kitty did NOT like it and wouldn't not go in/on it. I sprinkled it with catnip and she is now sleeping daily in the upper 'tunnel' area. And she jumps from the cradle area on the very top to the top of the bookcase where she sometimes sleeps. She explores the condo but does not like it as much. I don't think she would have ever explored it though except that it is standing next to the window sill that she sits on much of the day. She can't seem to get on even the condo ledge without jumping from the window to the top of the condo to the tunnel or the top cradle.

This is the first large piece of cat furniture we've purchased. We are delighted with it - but more importantly, so is feline Sarah. Other reviewers are correct that, because of the position of the open tube, the top perch is only accessible if the Playstation is positioned near a surface to jump up from. For Sarah, that's no problem. And even if she couldn't access the top perch, the rest of the piece offers so many options for play and rest that it's not a major issue. Hide toys at various levels in nooks and crannies and they are all soon batted away in play. We purchased it on sale at a very attractive price for a piece of this size that arrives assembled. Made in America sold us on it and everything else about it made us all very satisfied!
