Best product for large amount of coir from Jersey City New Jersey on 02/03/2015 – Verified Buyer
These are big concentrated compressed blocks of coir. The material does make enough to fill a regular wheel barrow. I like that you can store it easily and use smaller amounts by chipping it off and hydrating it. Some is fine and some is a bit more coarse. I got this on sale at a very good price. The equivalent amount of potting soil, depending on the quality of the soil would have been about the same or more at the sale price. Prices for coir have made it less of a bargain. Compared to compost, it has no nutrition. It break downs slowly It is excellent for aeration, seed starting, layering, and even mulching.. Best of all you can carry it easily a long remote distance and rehydrate it there. I always wait overnight for it to really soak in whenever I can.

Great Stuff from Quincy, FL on 02/09/2015 – Verified Buyer
I really like this size. It takes 5 or 6 gallons of water to hydrate. I use it in my worm beds and as an ingredient in my potting soil.

good product from live oak, fl on 06/03/2012
Coir is great to work in with fl sandy soil. It helps to keep the moistor in the. soil I had never used this product before, but I ordered 4 bricks so I could get free shipping. And I'm glad I did. I will have plenty for furture planting. The dry bricks are pretty small and easy to store. And when wet it swells to so much airy potting medium. Great purchase!
