I have to start by saying that I ordered this case originally from another company, and they sent me the old model, which is VERY different and I knew it wasn't what I wanted and started over. When I opened this case, I knew it was a different story. This case is SO NICE! I couldn't believe how light it was the first time I lifted it with my viola inside. And it is much roomier than my old case (which was more triangular than rectangular). Love the features of the TSA lock and the rain poncho, plus the extra sheet music pocket and the organizer to keep pencils, etc. in. Oh, and the strap to hold my shoulder rest in place. This case was the most affordable one I found in an online search, and when it arrived turned out to be exactly what I want: reliable, professional-looking, and straightforward. The nylon cover is durable and far from the frumpy vinyl on ones I've borrowed. The shoulder strap, which has a built-in rosin case, unclips if you want to go strapless. I am primarily a violin player, but I do play viola occasionally, and that is why I bought this case. It is lightweight and easy to carry. The zipper on the outside pocket sometimes has trouble zipping up and the case does not have room for a shoulder rest inside. This is a wonderful sturdy case for the price and weight. Overall, I'd say it's a really good value. I adapted this case (read "removed some interior parts") to make it fit my practice set of Irish uilleann bagpipes and it works a treat. I've traveled with it and take it to sessions/gigs regularly, and the only complaint I have is that I wish it had a "subway" handle on one end to make it easier to schlep down airplane aisles, etc. But otherwise, I couldn't be happier."..."  Read more
