Music Cases

The drum covers are ample enough in size to fit a standard 5 piece set. However, my mounted toms are 10 and 12 inch models with iso-rim mounts (mounts that attach to the drums rim instead of being attached to the drum shell). This adds to the diameter of the drum, so the 12 and 13 inch bags just fit without the need to remove the mounting hardware. Also, the bass drum bag is really snug for an 18 by 22 inch bass drum. The padding is adequate for the price (hard shell cases are almost three times the price), and the zippers seem to be of good quality. Great bass drum case. I have an older Protechtor case for another kit that I've had for years, and the only issue was the plastic handle that broke on one side; this issue has since been fixed on this new one with very sturdy metal handles all around. The one Achilles heel with this case is the plastic buckle on the strap; it's easy to step on when the case is open, and my old one cracked and became unusable over time. If they went with a different, more sturdy design, I would give this case a perfect rating. As it is, I just try to be careful not to crush it underfoot."..."  Read more

I own a Taye Go-Kit that I added a add on floor tom to. Now, with my new Gatoe case all my drums fit perfectly into the case for protection and transportation. Thanks very much."

this combo case is just what I needed for my 8x12 and 9x13 vintage Rogers toms. Has a plastic divider between the two drums which works great. Very satisfied and will buy from this vendor again."
