Music Cases

The drum covers are ample enough in size to fit a standard 5 piece set. However, my mounted toms are 10 and 12 inch models with iso-rim mounts (mounts that attach to the drums rim instead of being attached to the drum shell). This adds to the diameter of the drum, so the 12 and 13 inch bags just fit without the need to remove the mounting hardware. Also, the bass drum bag is really snug for an 18 by 22 inch bass drum. The padding is adequate for the price (hard shell cases are almost three times the price), and the zippers seem to be of good quality. This is a very protective light weight case. The nylon outer covering seems durable for everyday use and storage.My guitars are always in cases when not in use. This case seems to meet my same needs as a wooden multi-ply case. I think that temp and humidity change will be equal to that of a wooden case. By this I mean those changes will be gradual to the instrument inside. I am presently building guitars and I think that this may be my choice in the future to protect and transport new guitars. My only comment somewhat negative, is that the zipper needs to be fully unzipped to completely open the case."..."  Read more

Great bass drum case. I have an older Protechtor case for another kit that I've had for years, and the only issue was the plastic handle that broke on one side; this issue has since been fixed on this new one with very sturdy metal handles all around. The one Achilles heel with this case is the plastic buckle on the strap; it's easy to step on when the case is open, and my old one cracked and became unusable over time. If they went with a different, more sturdy design, I would give this case a perfect rating. As it is, I just try to be careful not to crush it underfoot."..."  Read more

I've become a Gator cases fan in recent years. Great variety of cases, well engineered and constructed and at a generally better price point than SKB. I bought this for the new Digitech iPB-10. The unit fits (very) snuggly into this case with a little room to spare for a power supply and other small items and there's a zippered pouch on the outside. The only minor complaint is that the shoulder strap that shipped with the case seems a little too short. The bag ends up riding high on the body almost like a woman's purse. Not a huge deal as I rarely carry the case that way. These bags are really well made and are surprisingly rigid/strong. Great value overall."..."  Read more
