This case will protect your guitar quite well. Although this FENDER brand case was made by SKB, it is not quite as good as the SKB brand version (1SKB-66). Just place the two cases side by side & you will see what I mean. Your guitar will fit a little more snugly in the SKB brand case. Fender brand is good but SKB brand is better. I have a Tele and a Strat, they both fit perfectly in this double case. It's lightweight, the padding is relatively thick, and the zippers seem to be of good quality. The pick-shaped zipper grip is a nice touch. There are several pockets of different sizes to fit music books and various guitar accessories (tuner, patch cords, etc.). I've seen nicer and better padded gig bags (the one that came with my Parker is amazingly thick and rigid), however this is more than adequate for storing my guitars at home and taking them to the occasional jam session in style.
