About Murray Feiss:

Over fifty years ago, Rose Feiss, an immigrant with talent and spirit, began sewing lampshades to occupy her time while her son Murray was serving in the Navy during WWII. What began as an endeavor to pass the time, developed into a cottage industry filling the days of many wives and mothers in The Bronx, NY. After the war, Murray joined his mother’s business and expanded it to include portable lighting. The company moved to larger headquarters, and the business grew. I looked for an appropriate light to replace a fixture in our dining area. The living, dining and kitchen area are open to one-another with a vaulted and 18ft. ceiling. Im very happy with the size and style of this light. We have a cream leather couch, stone fireplace and other wooden and rustic pieces. It compliments and completes the look I was trying to achieve along with other oil rubbed bronze fixtures. Its just as I had hoped and my husband is very pleased, too.
