Mr. Herzher's Pet Residence in Dark Brown - 13- X

I needed to confine my big English Springer (65 pounds of lovebug) when he had knee surgery. He had always slept on the bed with us (much to my sciatica's dismay), but now we couldn't have him jumping on and off a very high bed. We ordered Mr. Herzher's Pet Residence, thinking this would be a temporary thing. Well, now MacSorley goes in himself when he gets tired! My other 2 keep going in to see what the big deal is! And it is very attractive. I am using it next to the bed as a nightstand, as well. Great looking and well made! Excellent product.

We bought 2 medium size and attached them back to back to create a very nice cat porch for our 2 indoor cats. Now they can hang out with us on our porch and we don't have to chase them around. It's perfect.

Would give it four stars if they came in a smaller size and were easier to put together. Great quality sturdy and look great-doors can open in so they don't disrupt the room.

I was excited to have a better looking kennel in my home. The kennel was a bit of a pain to assemble. Two of the screws were completely bent and unusable but fortunately extras were included so know problem. However, the very real problem with this kennel is that the latches are far too easy for my dog to open so there is no hope of containing him at night or when I leave my home.

My younger dog loved her crate but for some reason I had bought the largest crate in the world and it took up a large part of my living room. When I moved to my new home, I did not want to move this huge crate into my smaller front room with my lovely new furniture. So, i looked around and decided on this crate. I loved the look of it and based on the other reviews that stated that it actually came darker than it showed on-line, I chanced it. I am so glad that I did. It is gorgeous! It was so easy to put together. It is sturdy and sits by my chair like an end table and my dog loves it. It took about three days for her to realize that it really was her new home and to trust that it was okay that I was putting things on top of it. Things like my juice, books etc. Now, she is thrilled that she is right beside me and all my friends and family think it is beautiful and many didn't even notice that it was a crate at first! I like it better than the wooden ones as I was afraid that the ones that were less than $200 would be cheaply built and would break easily. This one is so strong, I expect it to use this for many dogs over many years. Oh yes, it did come even darker than it shows on the website. Just lovely!!!!

I wrote a glowing review of this crate right after I got it because it is so much more attractive than the metal crate it replaced. However, I just discovered that my 11 lb chihuahua has been trying to chew his way out of it and has successfully chewed through several of the vinyl pieces that make this look like wicker. Not only is it unsightly to have pieces sticking out, it is unsafe for the dog. Think twice about ordering this unless you are absolutely sure your dog is not going to chew on it.
