good value, but ...
Paul from Sahuarita, AZ
I have had this bed for about 3 years now, and I bought the headboard that "goes with it". For the bed, I added screws through the mattress support boards into the bedframe to add strength and stability. Add a memory foam topper to the mattress and the bed is quite comfortable and a good height to get in and out of. My main complaint with the bed is how sharp the board edges are.

Nice Small Bench

I needed some book storage in a small spot I have in my bedroom - but the space is definitely not large enough to accommodate a full bookcase. I found this and thought I'd try it - and I'm so glad I did! It stores my books perfectly on the bottom, and I have a few knick-knacks on top. I had purchased some cute vinyl wall sticker flowers to go above it, so it looks like someone doodled three sweet flowers above the top of this bench. I couldn't be happier with that corner. This was easy to assemble - I did it by myself in about 30 minutes - and it isn't too heavy. It's heavy enough - but I can move it around the room on my own - moving it doesn't require getting another person to help me. I think this will last a long time - I can see it painted in some funky colors and placed in my art studio when it's done in my room. I'd buy it again and recommend it to my friends!

We purchased this bed for our 16 year old. She loves it. The downside to this bed is there are many parts and it takes a while to put it together. My 16 year old did it by herself with no problems. She did mention that the bed must be perfectly squared for the drawers to fit properly. She had read that there were several people that had problems with drawers not fitting correctly. Be prepared to spend about 3 hours putting this together.

Good value, decent product

We bought this bed for our 4 year old to put his queen mattress on. It took about 3 hours to assemble, but was simple enough. The drawers slide nicely but are not as deep as I would have thought. The only thing I wasn't happy about is if you try to move the bed around the whole frame gets crooked making the drawers crooked as well, but it is easy enough to straighten back out and doesn't move much once you have the mattress on top. All in all it was a good value and decent enough for the price.
Nice platform bed with storage

After reading the other customer reviews, I bought this headboard and the matching platform bed with storage drawers. Both pieces were extremely easy to assemble. The concise instructions were step by step and well illustrated. The white color of this brand matches most other assembly-required white furniture pieces you might buy elsewhere so the pieces in our room all look like a set. The materials are cheezy but what low cost furniture isn't these days. You can expect to pay well over $1,000 for a traditionally built bookcase headboard with platform bed. I was a little disappointed to find the headboard and platform bed don't fit together without modifications. I built a box frame of 2x4's to mount the headboard to the bed. I drilled holes and used nice sturdy bolts and large washers so I wouldn't have to worry about the particle board tearing apart as it would if I just used wood screws. One of the other customers reviews said the bedframe would become "un-square" with movement which causes the drawer slides to come out of alignment. Thanks to that review I knew to install reinforcing angle brackets in all the corners to keep the bedframe square. I also installed angle brackets inside the headboard and under the main shelf to prevent any future sagging of the particle board. My modifications added 1-2 hours to the total assembly time. You'll need a drill, bolts, nuts, large washers, three 2x4's and an assortment of angle brackets. These two products are adequate but with some inexpesnive hardware and a few modifications you could have a nice, sturdy, inexpensive and very functional piece of furniture that makes efficient use of small rooms. We love ours!

I love it. the drawers are made of real wood and not particle board, or whatever that pressed wood is(which was a nice surprise.) The only con I can think of, is that some of the cutouts don't seem to match the hardware entirely. But this can easily be secured with some glue. I would definitely recommend this chest.
Looks and works great!

Recently purchased this piece of furniture for my apt. It definitely took a few hours to put together but totally worth it! The drawers aren't exactly perfect, nothing ever is, but they are functional. Definitely a great platform storage bed for the price.
Great product for the price

I gave it 4 stars because it was a little difficult to put together. The quality is what you would expect for the price. The material is similar to that of closet shelving. My daughter loves it in her room and we were able to get rid of a very old nightstand with how much shelving space this headboard gives her.
