I bought two of these and have had them for about a month now. For the price I'm hoping they survive the raising of kids but not worried if they get banged up. They took about three hours each to put together by myself, including clean up. I recommend having a large garbage bag for all the Styrofoam, a cleaning cloth, and an electric drill with a Philips head bit (I didn’t have an electric drill). Have your vacuum ready as well. You’re going to get little pieces of foam everywhere. The instructions are pictures but everything is numbered and it wasn’t hard to follow. I found it easiest to construct by laying the unit on its side. There have been other reviews of having pieces with unfinished sides showing. If done correctly, any unfinished sides face the back. Use them to help identify the proper part of the frame. Both sets came with a number of small dings and the pieces don’t line up as flush as I would have liked. Having said that, once put together they look great and those things are only noticeable at close inspection. The biggest issue I had was with one of the drawers. The slides on the inside of the cabinet were not level and both were too high to allow the drawer to close all the way. It was an inconvenience but not too difficult to fix. The material these are made of is soft enough you can screw in a new hole by applying pressure with your screwdriver. Once the thread breaks the veneer it gets easier. Just make sure your measurements are correct or you’ll have to do it twice. I made a couple of other adjustment to my shelves. I didn’t use the top, front cross beam on either and I turned the back, top beam upside down (Rotating 180 degrees forward and then 180 degrees sideways allows the screw holes to align properly) . This opened up the top shelf and allowed me to use the stickers to cover the four holes where the front beam would have been. Also, in one unit I left out the wine rack and glass holders in order to open the bottom two shelves for books. Other notes on this unit: It is not made of solid wood but particle board with a dark brown veneer. The foot of your wine/martini glasses needs to be three inches or less in diameter or they will not fit in the medal glass rack. Very sturdy (even without the top cross beam) once built. Over all I am very satisfied with this item and recommend getting it.
Very nice little bar for the money.

Well designed bar for limited spaces and the price is very reasonable. Overall very happy with the purchase. However, if you are an inexperienced assembler or lack patience then you should pass on this bar or invite an experienced assembler over to help you. The bar is made out of particle board overlapped with a thin veneer so you have to be very careful during assembly not to break any pieces. The only other issue, as other reviewers have noted, is that the wine glass holders are to small for red wine glasses. We solved the problem by just setting the glasses below the holders. Well designed. Great for small spaces. Great price. Difficult to assemble. Poor instructions. Must be careful during assembly because of particle board material. Wine glass holders are to small for red wine glasses.

We needed a small bar with lots of storage and display room for our small basement family room. This fit the bill perfectly. I didn't personally find the instructions hard to follow, and all the pieces are separated and itemized making them easy to find. All I needed was a screw driver and a hammer, it took me about two hours to do it by myself. I do wish that we could have chosen to use half the space with the wine bottle holders and left the other half open because we don't ever anticipate having that much wine in our possession at one time and could use room for other smaller bottles and bar supplies. However, that's a minor issue. Also, some of our wine and martini glasses had bases that were too large for the hangers...but it's about time to update those to match our margarita glasses that fit perfectly!

This thing comes in a million pieces and is pretty difficult and tasking to put together. We bought this because we live in a Chicago apartment and had just received a ton of wedding gifts and needed a storage solution for some of our bar items. WARNING, the metal thing that is supposed to hold the wine glasses, well it wasn't big enough for our glasses to fit! Never thought I would have had to check that out first. Our glasses aren't enormous, they are a pretty standard size as wine glasses go. We had to stand our glasses on the shelf instead, which is annoying. I also didn't check the specs well enough, this bar is fairly short, so if you have any alcohol bottles or nice decanters, the only spot to display them is the very top, which looks bizarre. The martini shaker in the picture must be a short one, because none of our bar tools or longer bottles fit. The material also chips off easily and I managed to create a few scratches just during assembly. All in all, this bar doesn't really work for us but it was such a pain to put together that we've decided to just deal with it (and the buyers remorse) until we move to a place with more storage space and don't need it.

I thought this was solid wood when I ordered it, found it wasn't when I opened the box. Was disappointed at first because of this but should have known because the price was so fair. Putting it together by myself took 5 hours - but I'm a first time assembler. All-in-all it was worth it. It looks very nice in my home, I do not use it much and the drawer feels inexpensive - doesn't seem like a piece that will last for generations - but i see myself having it for the next 5-10 years.
modern and sleek

Love the look of this wine/bar shelf, ideal for small and medium sized rooms (my room is about 16 x 28ft.) very nice dark espresso finish, the construction took some time, but it was pretty easy to follow, just a lot of pieces to put together. The wine bottles fit easily into the squares and you can fit a normal sized ice bucket on the upper shelves. The one set back is the cup rack in the middle is not very universal, so if you have cups that have larger stem/bases they might not fit into the rack. I reccommend this product.
Great Bar for small space
Andres from Bordersville, TX – Verified Buyer
I bought this bar due to the fact that we have an unused nook area in the living room. We could have put a book case there, but when I ran across this nice piece I thought it would be perfect. It is quite a bit to put together, but not too difficult. The directions are a bit vague as it's only illustrations. I got it put together in around 2 hrs by myself with my wife's moral support. In conclusion if you would like to have a bar in your home and don't have much space or $$$ this is a perfect item. Looks nice and have had lots of compliments on it. I set a wine fridge right next to it and walla instant watering hole in my living room.

I bought this for a space that I was never really happy with in my dining room. Well, now I LOVE that space. This little bar is awesome. It is sturdy, classy looking, and affordable. It took my husband about 2 and a half hours to put together alone. The wine glass racks are too small for my wine glasses (but maybe I just have really big wine glasses...;) ) The drawer is lined with red velvet. I love this little bar!
Excellent bar. Terrible assembly instructions
Michelle from Orlando, FL – Verified Buyer
Putting this piece together was difficult. The instructions have vague pictures with just a bunch of letters and numbers and no words. I had to take it apart a couple of times after realizing that I was putting it together wrong. After assembling it, I realized that the shelves aren't very tall. I can only fit most liquor bottles on the very top shelf (hard to tell from the picture, but the top of the unit is open), but that ended up looking good, so in the end, not a huge deal. I put shorter things like a humidor and shaker on the other shelves. Overall, I love the way it looks in the end, and I'm glad I won't ever have to put it together again!
Great wine rack for the money
Gabriel from Waltham, MA – Verified Buyer
I have gotten a lot of compliments on this wine rack and am enjoying it so far. My only complaint is it could be a little taller to accommodate bottles on the shelves. I've had no problem with the size of the wine glass cubby as others have noted. The last few steps of assembly are much easier with another person (borderline necessary)
